Answer:

Y = 5.8

X = 2.887

Step-by-step explanation:

to get X

  • \tan( 30 )  =  \:  \frac{x}{5} \\ x =  \tan(30)  \times 5 \\ x = 2.887

to get Y

  • using pythagoras theorem
  • {y}^{2}  =  {2.88}^{2}  +  {5}^{2}  \\  \\  {y}^{2}  = 8.33 + 25 \\  \\ y =  \sqrt{33.33}  \\ y = 5.8

sergey [27]

DOMAIN:

  • Set of allowable inputs (set of 1st elements of the ordered pairs in relation)
  • X point
  • AKA the input

DEFINE INPUT:

A number that'll be used in a function rule to determine the value of the output

RANGE:

  • Set of possible outputs (set of 2nd elements of the ordered pairs in relation)
  • Y point
  • AKA the output

DEFINE OUTPUT:

Result of applying a function rule to the value of ani input

ORDERED PAIRS:

(-1, 7): -1 is the domain & 7 is the range

(3, 5): 3 is the domain & 5 is the range

(4, 9): 4 is the domain & 9 is the range

(-6, -10): -6 is the domain & -10 is the range

(-2, 8): -2 is the domain & 8 is the range

Why all integers are not whole numbers?
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

Integers  -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4… all the whole numbers and their opposites (the positive whole numbers, the negative whole numbers, and zero). Fractions and decimals are not integers. For example, -5 is an integer but not a whole number or a natural number.

<u>The x and y coordinates of the origin is equal to (0, 0), which is the point of intersection of the x-axis and y-axis. The x and y coordinates of a point on the x-axis is of the form (a, 0), and here the y coordinate of the point is equal to zero.</u>

Answer:

0.314 gallon is required to cover a circular region with a radius of 40 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

a gallon of paint will cover about 400 square feet in a single coat

To Find:

Number of gallons  required to cover a circular region with a radius of 40 feet = ?

Solution:

Step 1: Finding Area of the circular region

The  area of the circular region, A  = \pi r^2

where r is the radius

Now substituting r =  40 , we get

A = \pi \times 40

A = 125.6 ft^2

Step 2: Finding the number of gallons of paint required

To cover 400 sq feet  = 1 gallon

so to cover 1 square feet  = \frac{1}{400}gallon

Now to cover 125.6 ft we need

125.6 \times \frac{1}{400}

\frac{125.6}{400}

=> 0.314 gallon
