A slight breeze is blowing over the hot tub above and yields a heat transfer coefficient h of 20 W/m2 -K. The air temperature is
patriot [66]

Answer:4050 W

Explanation:

Given

Heat transfer Coefficient(h)=20 W/m^2-K

Air temperature =75 F

surface area(A)=7.5 m^2

Temperature of hot tube is 102 F

We know heat transfer due to convection is given by

Q=hA\left ( \Delta T\right )

Q=20\times 7.5\left ( 102-75\right )=4050 W

A lake is fed by a polluted stream and a sewage outfall. The stream and sewage wastes have a decay rate coefficient (k) of 0.5/d
joja [24]

Solution :

Given :

k = 0.5 per day

$C_s = 10 \ mg/L \ ; \ \ Q_s= 40 \ m^3/s$

$C_{sw} = 100 \ ppm \ ; \ \ Q_{sw}= 0.5 \ m^3/s$

Volume, V $= 200 \ m^3$

Now, input rate = output rate + KCV ------------- (1)

Input rate  $= Q_s C_s + Q_{sw}C_{sw}$

                $=(40 \times 10) + (0.5\times 100)$

                $= 2 \times 10^5 \ mg/s$

The output rate $= Q_m C_{m}$

                          = ( 40 + 0.5 ) x C x 1000

                          $=40.5 \times 10^3 \ C \ mg/s$

Decay rate = KCV

∴$KCV =\frac{0.5/d \times C \  \times 200 \times 1000}{24 \times 3600}$

            = 1.16 C mg/s

Substituting all values in (1)

$2 \times 10^5 = 40.5 \times 10^3 \ C+ 1.16 C$

C = 4.93 mg/L

Which is the difference between proximal and distal positions?
ikadub [295]

Answer: These two terms are almost always used in reference to relative locations of parts or places on the limbs. Proximal then refers to something closer to the torso while distal refers to parts and places away from the torso. So a finger is distal to the wrist, which is distal to the elbow, which is distal to the shoulder

calculate how much black eyes seeds are necessary to plant a 6- hectare( 14.425 acres) field. given that the weight of 1000 blac
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer: 1.38g

Explanation:

Width of planting area = 100m

Field size = 6-hectares(14.425 acres)

Weight of 1000 black eye seed = 230g

1 lb = 453.4g

1 black eye seed = 230g/1000 = 0.23g = 0.00023kg

1 hectare = 10,000sq metre

6 hectare = 60,000sq metre

(Weight/Area) kg/m2

0.00023kg / 10,000 = 2.3×10^-8kg/m^2

And field size = 6hectares = 60,000m^2

(2.3×10^-8) × 60,000 = 0.00138kg of black eye seed

0.00138kg × 1000 = 1.38g
