An object is going to the left at constant velocity. What is true? All forces acting on the object balance each other out. There

are no forces acting on the object. Net force of the object is zero. One force on the left is greater then the force on the right.

Answer:

Net force of the object is zero.

Explanation:

When an object is going to the left at constant velocity, this means there is no acceleration. Hence, no force. Had there been force,acceleration had been inevitable. Therefore, we can say that when an object moves with a constant velocity and in same direction, the net force on the object is zero.

The potential (relative to infinity) at the midpoint of a square is 3.0 V when a point charge of +Q is located at one of the cor
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

d) 12 V

Explanation:

Due to the symmetry of the problem, the potential (relative to infinity) at the midpoint of the square, is the same for all charges, provided they be of the same magnitude and sign, and be located at one of the corners of the square.

We can apply the superposition principle (as the potential is linear with the charge) and calculating the total potential due to the 4 charges, just adding the potential due to any of  them:

V = V(Q₁) + V(Q₂) +V(Q₃) + V(Q₄) = 4* 3.0 V = 12. 0 V

A)If the rms value of the electric field in an electromagnetic wave is doubled, by what factor does the rms value of the magneti
Ghella [55]

A) The magnetic field doubles as well

The relationship between rms value of the electric field and rms value of the magnetic field for an electromagnetic wave is the following:

E_{rms}=cB_{rms}

where

E_rms is the magnitude of the electric field

c is the speed of light

B_rms is the magnitude of the magnetic field

From the equation, we see that the electric field and the magnetic field are directly proportional: therefore, if the rms value of the electric field is doubled, then the rms value of the magnetic field will double as well.

B) The intensity will quadruple

The intensity of an electromagnetic wave is given by

I=\frac{1}{2}c\epsilon_0 E_0^2

where

c is the speed of light

\epsilon_0 is the vacuum permittivity

E_0 is the peak intensity of the electric field

The rms value of the electric field is related to the peak value by

E_{rms}=\frac{E_0}{\sqrt{2}}

So we can rewrite the equation for the intensity as

I=c\epsilon_0 E_{rms}^2

we see that the intensity is proportional to the square of the rms value of the electric field: therefore, if the rms value of the electric field is doubled, the average intensity of the wave will quadruple.

Which scientist continued the work of another while studying the elliptical path of planets? Name both scientists. Kepler advanc
Korolek [52]
This question is so vague as to render it useless.

I suspect the answer they're looking for is Kepler advanced Copernicus's work as is stated. but the way science works is that anyone who has contributed will have their work built on. for example, Newton advanced Kepler's work on the elliptical path of planets as Einstein advanced Newton's work.
