Answer:

airbags work like a air suspension, When collision occurs the body experiencing the force will gain a large momentum in shory interval of time hence large impulse will be there.

If such high momentum body comes in contact of a hard surface like the car dash-board all the momentum becomes zero in very short interval of time, resulting in high force on the body thus causes injuries.

The air bags reduces this time upon collision hence minimal force is exerted. Thus reducing the injuries.

A Ray of light falling on rough surface follows the laws of reflection but no image of the object placed before it is C explain
stepladder [879]

Answer:

The light rays falling on a rough surface does follow the laws of reflection. The light rays are incident parallel on the rough surface but due to uneven surface the light rays are not reflected parallel rather they are reflected in different direction. Hence, no image is formed.

What is the direction of the magnetic field if an electron moving in the positive x direction experiences a magnetic force in th
Alex787 [66]

Given :

An electron moving in the positive x direction experiences a magnetic force in the positive z direction.

To Find :

The direction of the magnetic field.

Solution :

We know, force is given by :

\vec{F}=q(\vec{v}\times \vec{B)}

Here, q = -e.

\vec{F}=(-e)(\vec{v}\times \vec{B)}\\\\\hat{k}=(-e)(\hat{i}\times \vec{B})

Now, for above condition to satisfy :

\hat{i}\times \vec{B}=-\hat{k}

So, \vec{B}=-\hat{j}

Therefore, direction of magnetic field is negative y direction.

Hence, this is the required solution.
