Given:

The equation of a function is

y=(x-4)^2+1

To find:

The graph of the given function.

Solution:

The vertex form of a parabola is

y=(x-h)^2+k        ...(i)

Where, (h,k) is vertex of the parabola.

We have,

y=(x-4)^2+1         ...(ii)

From (i) and (ii), we get

h=4, k=1

The vertex of the parabola is (4,1).

Now, the table of values is

x             y

2            5

3            2

4             1

5            2

6            5

Plot these points on a coordinate plane and connect them by a free hand curve.

The graph of given function is shown below.

Grandmother Davis is 2 vears more than &
nevsk [136]
If I put this into an equation it would look like 2x+2= 66. 66-2= 64. You do this because to get x you have to reverse the equation, but you have to do the number not connected to x first. Then 2x= 64. So you divide 64 by 2 which is 32. So Jordan is 32 years old. Hope this helped!

Determine whether the samples are independent or dependent.
dybincka [34]

Answer: Option(D) is the correct option

Explanation:

Natural pairings defines coupling of data sets or sample is possible to take place in a particular condition naturally.These samples depend on each other for matching.

According to the question ,cholesterol level of 90 men is being assessed  prior and after treatment takes place.Thus,same 90 men are going through drug testing in natural pair form and showing sample dependency before and afterwards of treatment.Thus, further analysis is based upon natural paired data.

Other options are incorrect because sample in the question are not independent due to the link between them and they do persist natural pairing with each other.Thus, the correct option is option(D).
