On the x column, you would write 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. Then, in the y box, you plug in that number into the equation. Write your answer in the y column. 

For example, if x = 1, then 1^2 + 2 - 8 = - 5. 
If x = 1, y= -5

I’m sure that the area is 80. If you do 10 times 5, that will be 50.Then if you do 6 times 5, for the upper remaining part of the figure it would be 30. So 30 plus 50 is 50. Hope this helps!
