Answer:

The  correct option is D

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The intensity of the first  electromagnetic wave is  I = 18 \ W/m^2

  The amplitude of the electric field is  E_{max}_1 =A

   The intensity of the second electromagnetic wave is  I = 36 \ W/m^2

Generally the an electromagnetic wave intensity is mathematically represented as

       I  =  \frac{1}{2} *  \epsilon_o  * c  * E_{max}^2

Looking at this equation we see that

     I \ \ \alpha  \ \ E^2_{max}

=>  \frac{I_1}{I_2}  =  [ \frac{ E_{max}_1}{ E_{max}_2} ] ^2

=>   E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{\frac{x}{y} }  *  E_{max}_1

=>  E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{\frac{36}{18} }  * E

=>  E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{2 }  E

A golfer tees off and hits a golf ball at a speed of 31 m/s and at an angle of 35 degrees. What is the horizontal velocity compo
nasty-shy [4]
The horizontal component of the velocity of the ball is calculated by multiplying the speed by the cosine of the given angle.
                        x-component of speed = (31 m/s)(cos 35°)
                                                               = 25.39 m/s
Thus, the horizontal velocity component of the ball is 25.39 m/s.

Convert 1.5 radian into milliradians.
Alex

Answer:

1500 milliradians

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

1.5 radians

Now,

1 radians consists of  1000 milliradians

1 milli = 1000

thus for the 1.5 radians, we have

1.5 radians = 1.5 multiplied by 1000 milliradians

or

1.5 radians = 1500 milliradians

Hence, after the conversion

1.5 radians equals to the value 1500 milliradians

How is work related to force and displacement?
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

Displacement is the distance and direction an object is moved. Force and work are directly proportional to each other, while force and displacement are indirectly propotional. The equation showing the relationship is W= Fd. OR Work is a scalar. The rate at which work is done or at which energy is transferred. Work is equal to the force parallel to the displacement.

What happens when the electron moves from the first energy level to the second energy level?
Anuta_ua [19.1K]
Energy is absorbed by the atom.

Emission lines occur only in the case of transitions from higher to lower energy levels in which energy is emitted.
