Add all sides you have together and you get 53m.. then you subtract 53 from 64 and the length of the missing side would be 11

Find the distance between the two points (5,-8) and (53,-28) explain the answer please
Salsk061 [2.6K]

The distance between two points is found using something called the distance formula. The distance formula goes like this:

\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2} - x_{1})^{2}}

(x₂ - x₁) and the y equivalent is the same as the change between the x or y values between each coordinate. Using this formula, the distance between (5,-8) and (53,-28) is ~43.635

Find the value of x and y (please explain)
katovenus [111]

Answer:

x=55,y=20

Step-by-step explanation:

180-75=105

2x-5=105

2x=110

x=55

4x+25=105

Helga [31]

Answer:

IQR = Q_3 -Q_1 = 28-18 = 10

Now we can find the limits in order to determine outliers like this:

Left = Q_1 -1.5 IQR = 18 -1.5*10=3

Right = Q_1 +1.5 IQR = 18 +1.5*10=33

So for this case the left boundary would be 3, if a value is lower than 3 we consider this observation as an outlier

b. 3

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we have the following summary:

Minimum = 9 represent the minimum value

Q_1 = 18 represent the first quartile

Median =Q_2= 21 represent the median

Q_3 = 28 represent the third quartil

Maximum=56 represent the maximum

If we use the 1.5 IQR we need to find first the interquartile range defined as:

IQR = Q_3 -Q_1 = 28-18 = 10

Now we can find the limits in order to determine outliers like this:

Left = Q_1 -1.5 IQR = 18 -1.5*10=3

Right = Q_1 +1.5 IQR = 18 +1.5*10=33

So for this case the left boundary would be 3, if a value is lower than 3 we consider this observation as an outlier

b. 3

G(r)=−(r+11)(r+14)
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

The zeros are

Larger r=-11

Smaller r=-14

2)The vertex is (-12.5,-2.25)

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is:

g(r)=(r+11)(r+14)

This function is already in the factored form therefore it is easy to find the zeros,

(r+11)(r+14)=0

Either (r+11)=0 or (r+14)=0

The zeros are r=-14 or r=-11

b) The expanded form of the given function is:

g(r)=r^2+25r+154

We obtain the vertex form by completing the square:

g(r)=r^2+25r+(\frac{25}{2})^2+154-(\frac{25}{2})^2

The vertex form is:

g(r)=(r+\frac{25}{2})^2-(\frac{9}{4}

Therefore the vertex is (-12.5,-2.25)
