The correct answer is:
Some unstable materials decay radioactively into other unstable materials.

</span>Radioactive decay a the spontaneous process through which an unstable atomic nucleus breaks into smaller, more stable fragments. <span>It's basically a matter of thermodynamics. Every atom seeks to be as stable as possible. In the case of radioactive decay, instability occurs when there is an imbalance in the number of </span>protons<span> and </span>neutrons<span> in the atomic nucleus.</span>

PolarNik [594]

Answer: The skin lotion is a colloidal mixture of water and various oils.

Explanation:

Mixture: Blend of of two or more components which are chemically unreactive to give any product.

Mixture are defined as  of three types:

Solutions : Mixture in which one component is completely distributed in an other component resulting in clear mixture. They cannot be separated into its components on standing or by filtration.

Suspensions: Mixture in which one component is not completely or uniformly distributed in another component. They separate out into layers when kept undisturbed.

Colloids: Mixture in which one component is uniformly distributed in another component but the mixture formed is not clear. The color of mixture appears turbid or cloudy. They cannot get separated by filtration. They also cannot get separated into its components when left standing.

A skin lotion is a fine mixture of water and oils. it is a cloudy mixture and cannot be separated with help of filtration. Also its components also not separates out on standing. All these properties shown by skin lotion is of colloidal mixture.

Nitrogen was heated from 17°C to 37°C. The original volume of nitrogen was 8.5 L. Find the new volume in liters assuming P and n
Nata [24]

Answer:

The new volume of the gas is 9.086 liters.

Explanation:

Let suppose that nitrogen has a behavior of ideal gas, the equation of state for ideal gases is:

P\cdot V = n \cdot R_{u}\cdot T (1)

Where:

P - Pressure, measured in atmospheres.

V - Volumen, measured in liters.

n - Molar amount, measured in moles.

T - Temperature, measured in Kelvin.

R_{u} - Ideal gas constant, measured in atmosphere-liters per mole-Kelvin.

If pressure and molar amount of the gas remain constant, then we construct the following relationship:

\frac{T_{1}}{V_{1}} = \frac{T_{2}}{V_{2}} (2)

If we know that T_{1} = 290.15\,K, P_{1} = 8.5\,L and T_{2} = 310.15\,K, then the new volume of the gas is:

V_{2} = \left(\frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}\right)\cdot V_{1}

V_{2} = \left(\frac{310.15\,K}{290.15\,K} \right)\cdot (8.5\,L)

V_{2} = 9.086\,L

The new volume of the gas is 9.086 liters.

How does heat transfer between objects
pentagon [3]

Answer:

Explanation:

Heat can transfer between objects in two different ways. Generally, heat will travel from places of higher heat to places of lower heat.

The first is conduction. This is when the object being heated and releasing heat are in direct contact. Not as much heat is lost in this process, since the thermal energy has nowhere else to go except for the object it is touching. An example would be putting a kettle on a hot stove, but it could also be grabbing a cold pole with your relatively warm hands.

The second is convection. This is where heat is radiated into the air, and thus, transferred by the air, to another object. The actual heat that you feel is actually electromagnetic waves, and its transfer from an object is called electromagnetic radiation. Convection is the heat you feel from a near fire or a space heater. This is also why wind is present in our atmosphere.

There is also radiation. This is caused from the burning or breaking down of a substance. This might come from the sun.

I hope I did enough to deserve the 45 points!
