Answer:

  • An additional advantage of asexual reproduction is that colonization of new habitats may be easier when an individual does not need to find a mate to reproduce. During sexual reproduction the genetic material of two individuals is combined to produce genetically diverse offspring that differ from their parents.
  • A disadvantage is that sexual reproduction takes longer than asexual reproduction. A mate must be found, the egg must be fertilised by sperm, and then the offspring develop. The benefit of introducing genetic variation into the species , however, outweighs this disadvantage.

diphenyl compound does not follow huckle rule for an organic compound to be aromatic, yet it is aromatic. how? ...?
Minchanka [31]
No, it doesn't. According to huckle rule it must have 14 \pi<span> electrons to be aromatic but it has only 12 pi electrons. then how does it follow the rule?

kykrilka [37]

The addition of sugar in water and disappearing of the solid in water is due to the high solubility of the solid that is sugar in water. As it is seen in the experiment there will be no change of the solution except increasing of the volume. But if one look the solution from its density state, then there will be a remarkable change. The fact can be described in terms of density only. The density of the normal water and sugar added water will be different.

The density of the sugar added water will be more than the normal water. The density of a liquid depends upon its mass and volume. The definition of density is the mass of a material per unit of its volume. Here due to addition of 50 grams of sugar the mass will be increase and also its volume as a result the density will also increase.

What is causing <br> the global average temperature on earth to increase
Serggg [28]

Increase in greenhouse gas emission

Explanation:

Global average temperature of the earth is increasing due to a surge in the amount of greenhouse gases being emitted.

The major greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide.

This gas is produced by a wide range of industrial processes and combustion of fuels in automobiles.

Anomalous concentration of this gas in the atmosphere leads to an increase in earth's temperature.

These gases interacts with long wave radiation produced by the earth and prevents them from escaping. In turn, they warm the earth and keep it at fairly uniform temperature.

When these gases are too much in concentration they lead to an anomalous increase in temperature.

An evaporation–crystallization process of the type described in Example 4.5-2 is used to obtain solid potassium sulfate from an
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

feed = 220.77 kg/s; maximum production rate of solid crystal = 416 kg/s; the rate of supplying fresh feed to obtain the production rate = 1.6

Explanation:

Material or mass balance can be used to estimate the mass flow rates of all the streams in the diagram shown in the attached file.

Overall balance: M_{1} = 175 + 11M_{2}

Water: 0.804M_{1} = 175 + 0.6M_{2}

Using substitution method, we have:

M_{1} = 220.77 kg/s

M_{2}  = 4.16 kg/s

The maximum production rate of solid crystal is 10M_{2} = 10*4.16 = 416 kg/s

Around evaporator:

0.45M_{5} = 175

M_{5} = 175/0.45 = 389 kg/s

Around the mixing point:

M_{1} + M_{3} = M_{4} + M_{5}

Solid crystal: 0.196M_{1} + 0.4M_{3} = M_{4}

Using the last two equations, we can obtain:

0.804M_{1} + 0.6M_{3} = M_{5}

0.6M_{3} = 389 - 0.804*220.77 = 389 - 177.5 = 211.5

M_{3} = 211.5/0.6 = 352.5 kg/s

The rate of supplying fresh feed to obtain the production rate is:

\frac{M_{3}}{M_{1}} = 352.5/220.77 = 1.6
