Consider a uniform electric field E of magnitude E = 7.2 N/C. The line segment connecting points A and B in the field is perpend

icular to the direction of the field, while the line segment connecting points C and B is parallel to the field. The line segments have equal lengths of d = 0.38 m.
Find the potential difference, in volts, between point A and point B.
Enter an expression for the potential difference between point C and point B in terms of E and d.
Calculate the potential difference, in volts, between point C and point B.

a. Va-Vb= 0 volts

The two are perpendicular and therefore would have a difference of zero

b. Vc-Vb= -Ed

We already know V=Ed and in this case d is negative

c. -2.736 volts

(-7.2)*(.38)= -2.736

Plug in what was given for E and d into the equation for b

A 06-C charge and a .07-C charge are apart at 3 m apart. What force attracts them?
Andru [333]

Answer:

F = 37.8 × 10^(6) N

Explanation:

The charges are 0.06 C and 0.07 C.

Thus;

Charge 1; q1 = 0.06 C

Charge 2; q2 = 0.07 C

Distance between them; r = 3 m

Formula for the force in between them is;

F = kq1•q2/r²

Where k is a constant = 9 × 10^(9) N.m²/C²

Thus;

F = (9 × 10^(9) × 0.06 × 0.07)/3²

F = 37.8 × 10^(6) N

Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

D. transparent.

Explanation:

A material that transmits nearly all the light in a ray because it offers little resistance to the light is transparent.

A transparent material allows light to pass through them with little or no resistance enabling them see-through. A material that transmits nearly all the light rays that pass through it because it offers little resistance to the light is TRANSPARENT. Examples of transparent materials are water, glass (flint and crown), air, and diamond.
