A solenoid coil 10cm long has 40 turns cm-1. The current rises from zero to its maximum value of 5.0000 A and 0000.01s when the

switch is closed. Find the energy stored in magnetic field if the area of cross section of solenoid be 28 centimeter square.

Answer:

Explanation:

Energy stored in a solenoid per unit volume = B₀² / (2μ₀)

B₀= μ₀ n I₀

n is no of turns per unit length .

Energy stored in a solenoid per unit volume = ( μ₀ n I₀)² / (2μ₀)

=μ₀n²I₀²/2

n = 40 turns / cm = 40 x 100 turns per meter.

I₀ = 5000A .

Putting the values

Energy stored in a solenoid per unit volume

= 4π x 10⁻⁷ x 40 x 10² x 5000² /2

= 1256 J/ m³

Volume of solenoid = cross sectional area  x length

= 28 x 10⁻⁴ x .10 = 2.8 x 10⁻⁴ m³

Total energy stored = 1256  J / m³ x 2.8 x 10⁻⁴ m³

= .35 J .

As the drawing illustrates, a siren can be made by blowing a jet of air through 20 equally spaced holes in a rotating disk. The

Answer: 656 rad/s

Explanation:

Angular frequency is also called radial circular frequency. It measures angular displacement per unit time. It's unit is rad/s. It is also greater than the regular frequency by a factor of 2π. Hence, angular frequency, ω = 2πf

If 1 revolution(20 hole) = 20 cycle per revolution.

Then, 2087.8(cycle) = x revolution

X revolution = 2087.8/20)

X revolution = 104.39 revolution

ω = 2πf

ω = 2 * π * 104.39

ω = 655.98676

ω ~ 656 rad/s

Consider a person sliding down a water slide at constant velocity. what are the forces acting on the person as they slide? are t
Andru [333]

Explanation :

When a person is sliding with constant velocity, the forces that are acting on him are :

(1) Weight, W = mg where g is acceleration due to gravity.

(2) Friction forces acting opposite to the direction of motion.

(3) Normal force.

The forces acting on the person is balanced because the person is sliding with constant velocity.

From figure it is clear that, friction force is balanced by w\ sin\theta and normal is balanced by w\ cos\theta.

Let's say you have a plot for Pendulum experiment. Let's assume g for this experiment was measured (from the slope of the plot)
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

0.0052 m

Explanation:

T^2=0.021\ s^2

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.78 m/s²

Time period

T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}\\\Rightarrow T^2=4\pi^2 \frac{L}{g}

\Rightarrow L=\frac{T^2g}{4\pi^2}

\Rightarrow L=\frac{0.021\times 9.78}{4\pi^2}\\\Rightarrow L=0.0052\ m

The length of the pendulum is 0.0052 m
