Answer:

4 students

Step-by-step explanation:

what we know: 12 students, 2/3 are wearing blue, 1/6 are wearing red

first you have to make the fractions have the same denominator<em><u>(2/3=4/6)</u></em>

theres also 1/6 that are not wearing blue or red <u><em>(1/6+4/6=5/6, 6/6-5/6=1/6)</em></u>

so that makes it 2/6 of the students not wearing blue<em><u>(1/6+1/6=2/6)</u></em>

simplify<u><em>(2/6=1/3)</em></u>

1/3 of 12 is 4<u><em> (12÷3=4)</em></u>

the equations are in parentheses and bolded, italicized, underlined.

hope this helps :)

What is the product?(4y − 3)(2y2 + 3y − 5)8y3 + 3y + 158y3 − 23y + 158y3 − 6y2 − 17y + 158y3 + 6y2 − 29y + 15
motikmotik

We need to find the product of :

\mleft(4y-3\mright)\mleft(2y2+3y-5\mright)

So, the result as following:

\begin{gathered} \mleft(4y-3\mright)\mleft(2y^2+3y-5\mright) \\ =4y\cdot(2y^2+3y-5)-3\cdot(2y^2+3y-5) \\ =8y^3+12y^2-20y-(6y^2+9y-15) \\ =8y^3+12y^2-20y-6y^2-9y+15 \\  \\ =8y^3+6y^2-29y+15 \end{gathered}

So, the answer is the option 4. 8y3 + 6y2 − 29y + 15

the RATIO of floor seats to balcony seats in a theaters is 20:1. does this theater have more floor seats or more balcony seats?
GalinKa [24]
Yes, this theater has more floor seats than balcony seats simply because of the ratio. Your answer is actually in the question. For example, if you have 100 floor seats, then according to the ratio you should only have 5 balcony seats.  So yes, there are more floor seats than balcony seats.
