Nothing CAN be viewed through an opaque object.

In order to "view" anything, you have to receive light from it. But an opaque object absorbs any light that hits it, and no light comes out the other end. That's what "opaque" means. So if the opaque object is in the path of the light you're trying to view, then the light you're trying to view can never reach you, and your attempt to view is doomed.

Here is a real-world, every-day example of this scenario:

-- Stand outside of your best friend's house.

-- Try to view her through the living-room wall of the house.

What is the function (job) of the genes in protein synthesis (how proteins are made in the cell)?
Alborosie

Answer:Most genes contain the information needed to make functional molecules called proteins. (A few genes produce regulatory molecules that help the cell assemble proteins.) The journey from gene to protein is complex and tightly controlled within each cell. It consists of two major steps: transcription and translation.

The world record for a woman running a marathon is approximately 2.25 hours. If a marathon's distance is 26.2 miles (42164.81 me
netineya [11]

Answer:

11.6mph South East

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Time = 2.25hrs

Displacement  = 26.2miles south east

Unknown:

Velocity = ?

Solution:

Velocity is the displacement divided by the time taken. It is a vector quantity with both magnitude and direction.

Now;

       Velocity  = \frac{displacement}{time taken}

       Velocity  = \frac{26.2}{2.25}   = 11.6mph South East

A car is moving with a constant velocity of 25 m/s. Which of the following is true?
S_A_V [24]

b) the net force on the car is zero.

Explanation:

Let's analyze each option one by one:

a) the force from the engine is greater than all the forces of friction. --> FALSE. In fact, the car is moving at constant velocity: this means that its acceleration is zero,

a = 0

and so Newton's second law becomes

\sum F = ma = 0

where \sum F is the net force on the car and m is its mass. This means that the net force on the car is zero: so, the force from the engine cannot be greater than all the forces of friction, otherwise the net force cannot be zero.

b) the net force on the car is zero. --> TRUE, for what we said at point A)

c) the inertia is changing. --> FALSE. The inertia of an object just depend on the mass and the velocity of the object: as neither the mass nor the velocity are changing in this problem, then the inertia of the car is not changing.

d) the forces of friction are proportional to the acceleration of the car. --> FALSE. Generally, the force of friction acting on an object moving on a flat surface is

F_f = \mu mg

where \mu is the coefficient of friction, m is the mass, and g the acceleration of gravity. Therefore, the force of friction does not depend on the acceleration of the car.

e) All of the above. --> FALSE

Lostsunrise [7]
A cart travels down a ramp at an average speed of 5.00 centimeters/second. What is the speed of the cart in miles/hour? To solve this problem we have set the conversion values to determine the product during the conversion process.
1.   1 centimeter = 0.00000621371 mile
2.    1 hour = 60 minutes 3.    1 minute = 60 seconds
Thus, we shall have
1.   5 cm x 0.00000621371 mile/1cm = 0.000031069 mi
2.   0.000031069 seconds x 1 hr / 3600 = 0.111846815 miles / hr
