Answer:

<u>1. </u>0.0731 miles per gallon

2.  $967.46

Step-by-step explanation:

The <u>I way</u><u> </u>travel for 5 days to work will cover: 10.7  miles.

A two travel to work and back home will be : 10.7* 2 =21.4 miles

On weekends miles covered = 5.8 miles

Last time the tank was filled with = 17.2 gallons of gas

The Trip A meter read = 389.30 ----this is the average fuel mileage

This means the trip consumed : 389.30 - 17.2 = 372.1 gallons of gas

Total miles covered are : 21.4 + 5.8 = 27.2 miles

1. Miles per gallon for the car will be;

  372.1 gallons of gas = 27.2 miles

          1 gallon of gas = ?

{27.2 *1} / 372.1 =  <u>0.0731 miles per gallon</u>

2. Cost of  gas per week will be ;

   In the United States :

   1 gallon of gasoline = $2.60

     372.1 gallons of gas = ? $2.60 * 372.1 = $967.46

Solve the system by substitution. 2x - y = -3, 2x-2y = -2
Sonja [21]

Answer:// Solve equation [1] for the variable  y

 [1]    y = 2x - 3

// Plug this in for variable  y  in equation [2]

  [2]    -2•(2x-3) + 2x = 2

  [2]     - 2x = -4

// Solve equation [2] for the variable  x

  [2]    2x = 4

  [2]    x = 2

// By now we know this much :// Solve equation [1] for the variable  y

 [1]    y = 2x - 3

// Plug this in for variable  y  in equation [2]

  [2]    -2•(2x-3) + 2x = 2

  [2]     - 2x = -4

// Solve equation [2] for the variable  x

  [2]    2x = 4

  [2]    x = 2

// By now we know this much :

   y = 2x-3

   x = 2

// Use the  x  value to solve for  y

   y = 2(2)-3 = 1

   y = 2x-3

   x = 2

// Use the  x  value to solve for  y

   y = 2(2)-3 = 1

Answer:

D- Neither graph is a funvtion.

Step-by-step explanation:

A function can only have one input to one output.  These have more than one output for each input.  You can also do the vertical line test, if it touches more than two points at the same time while going horizontally across, it is not a function.
