Surface area of cylinder = 2 x pi x r x h + 2 x pi x r*2

So 2 x pi x 4 x 11 + 2 x pi x 4*2 = 376.99

The top and bottom margins of a poster are each 15 cm and the side margins are each 10 cm. If the area of printed material on th
12345 [234]

Answer:

the dimension of the poster = 90 cm length and 60 cm  width i.e 90 cm by 60 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given question.

Let p be the length of the of the printed material

Let q be the width of the of the printed material

Therefore pq = 2400 cm ²

q = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{p}

To find the dimensions of the poster; we have:

the length of the poster to be p+30 and the width to be \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{p} + 20

The area of the printed material can now be:  A = (p+30)(\dfrac{2400 }{p} + 20)

=2400 +20 p +\dfrac{72000}{p}+600

Let differentiate with respect to p; we have

\dfrac{dA}{dp}= 20 - \dfrac{72000}{p^3}

Also;

\dfrac{d^2A}{dp^2}= \dfrac{144000}{p^3}

For the smallest area \dfrac{dA}{dp }=0

20 - \dfrac{72000}{p^2}=0

p^2 = \dfrac{72000}{20}

p² = 3600

p =√3600

p = 60

Since p = 60 ; replace p = 60 in the expression  q = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{p}   to solve for q;

q = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{p}

q = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{60}

q = 40

Thus; the printed material has the length of 60 cm and the width of 40cm

the length of the poster = p+30 = 60 +30 = 90 cm

the width of the poster = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{p} + 20 = \dfrac{2400 \ cm^2}{60} + 20  = 40 + 20 = 60

Hence; the dimension of the poster = 90 cm length and 60 cm  width i.e 90 cm by 60 cm.

The cost price of a box and a pen is Rs 80 The box is sold at 10% profit and the pen is sold at 20% loss. If the selling price o
uysha [10]

Answer:

61.84%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of the box be x. Since the price of the box and the pen is Rs 80, the pen's price can be represented as 80 - x. The box is sold at a ten percent profit, and an added ten percent is equal to 1.1. Therefore, the price the box sells at is 1.1(x). A 20% loss is the same a keeping 80% or multiplying by 0.8. This means the pen sold at 0.8(80 - x). Now, we are given the box went for Rs 28 more than the pen, so we can create an equation:

1.1x = 0.8(80 - x) + 28

We can simplify and solve:

1.1x = 64 - 0.8x + 28

1.9x = 92

x = 92/1.9

x = 920/19

The cost of the box after the increase would be 1.1(920/19) and the pen would be 0.8(80 - 920/19).

The sum of these two can be written as a percent x of 80.

80x = 0.8(80 - 920/19) + 1.1(920/19)

80x = 64 - 0.8(920/19) + 1.1(920/9)

80x = 64 - 0.3(920/19)

80x = 64 - 276/19

80x = 940/19

x = 940/1520

x = 0.6184

This is 61.84%

This question may be trick question xD haha.

Anyways, a right triangle is a triangle with a right angle (90 degrees). In your picture, that triangle is a right triangle, but the sides could be a bit slanted. Please take a picture from top view, so I can see it properly.

The triangle's length does not matter in this case. As long as it has a right angle, it's a right triangle.
