How much candy at $1.16 a pound should be mixed with candy worth 86 cent a pound in order to obtain a mixture of 60 pounds of ca
vovangra [49]
Let the weights of the two candies be repres. by x and y.

Then x + y = 60, or x = 60 - y

($1.16 / lb) x + ($0.86 / lb) y = ($1.00 / lb) (60 lb) = $60

Then 1.16(60-y) + 0.86y = 60
   69.6 - 1.16y + 0.86y = 60                                9.6
     9.6 = 0.3y                         Solving for y, y = ------- = 32 lb
                                                                            0.3

                                               Then x = (60-32) lb = 28 lb

Follow the steps above and find c, the total of the payments, and the monthly payment. Choose the right answers.
saveliy_v [14]

To the nearest penny, c = $6,252.50

Total of payments = amount financed + c = $26,752.50

Total of payments ÷ number of payments = monthly payment = $445.88

Given:

The equation of line is

y=x+3

To find:

The x-intercept and y-intercept.

Solution:

The equation of line is

y=x+3

Putting x=0, we get

y=0+3

y=3

So, the y-intercept is (0,3).

Putting y=0 in the given equation, we get

0=x+3

-3=x

So, the y-intercept is (-3,0).

Therefore, the coordinates of the point where the line intersects the y-axis are (0,3). The coordinates of the point where the line intersects the x-axis are (-3,0).

Find the domain of the function f(t)=√t +3√t
Serjik [45]

Answer:

\mathrm{Domain\:of\:}\:4\sqrt{t}\::\quad \begin{bmatrix}\mathrm{Solution:}\:&\:t\ge \:0\:\\ \:\mathrm{Interval\:Notation:}&\:[0,\:\infty \:)\end{bmatrix}

The graph is also attached below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression

f\left(t\right)=\sqrt{t}\:+3\sqrt{t}

We know that the domain of a function is the set of inputs or argument values for which the function is real and defined.

We know that we can not have a negative value of 't' inside the radicals because if we put any negative number inside the radical expression, it would make the function undefined.

In other words,  the value of t ≥ 0.

Therefore, the function domain is:

\mathrm{Domain\:of\:}\:4\sqrt{t}\::\quad \begin{bmatrix}\mathrm{Solution:}\:&\:t\ge \:0\:\\ \:\mathrm{Interval\:Notation:}&\:[0,\:\infty \:)\end{bmatrix}

The graph is also attached below.
