Since there is 42 seeds in each of the 12 bags you need to multiply 42 and 12

42 × 12 = 504

So in total she has 504 seeds, now you need to split that in half by dividing 504 and 2

504 ÷ 2 = 252

Therefore she has 252 seeds left
