Answer:
45

Solution: you can use the above method or you can cross multiply. That’s mean multiplying the numerator of the left side by the denomination of the right. And the denominator on the left by the numerator on the right (it makes an x shape). Therefore, your algebraic equation should look like this and solve for x

14x=15*42
14x=630
X=630/14
X=45

Answer:

x=45

Explanation:

by taking 42 and dividing it by 14 you get 1/3, because 14 is 1/3 of 42 you can then see that the ratio is multiplied by 3. si then you can just multiply 15 by 3 to get 45

A .5 kg air puck moves to the right at 3 m/s, colliding with a 1.5kg air puck that is moving to the left at 1.5 m/s.
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Total momentum of the system before the collision

.5 x 3 - 1.5 x 1.5 = -0.75 kg m/s towards the left

If v be the velocity of the stuck pucks

momentum after the collision = 2 v

Applying conservation of momentum

2 v = -  .75

v =  - .375 m /s

Let after the collision v be the velocity of .5 kg puck

total momentum after the collision

.5 v + 1.5 x .231 = .5v +.3465

Applying conservation of momentum law

.5 v +.3465 = - .75

v = - 2.193 m/s

2 ) To verify whether the collision is elastic or not , we verify whether the kinetic energy is conserved or not.

Kinetic energy before the collision

= 2.25 + 1.6875

=3.9375 J

kinetic energy after the collision

= .04 + 1.2 =1.24 J

So kinetic energy is not conserved . Hence collision is not elastic.

3 ) Change in the momentum of .5 kg

1.5 - (-1.0965 )

= 2.5965

Average force applied = change in momentum / time

= 2.5965 / 25 x 10⁻³

= 103.86 N

Below is the data from a gas law experiment comparing the pressure and the volume of a gas at a given temperature.
Wewaii [24]

Answer:

The combined gas equation relates three variables pressure, temperature and volume when the number of moles is constant.

The equation is PV / T = constant. Which is valid for a fixed number of moles of the gas.

You can derive the combined gas equation from the combination of Bolye's law, Charles' law and Gay-Lussac's law, which needs some algebra.

A race car starting from rest accelerates uniformly at a rare of 4.90 meters per second^2. What is the cars speed after it has t
Vesnalui [34]

From the law of Galileo Galilei  :v²=v₀²+2ad we take the speed

v²=0+2*4.90*200=1960=>v=√1960=44.27 m/s

Which of the following BEST represent a good plan for decreasing your BMI?
Deffense [45]
I’d say b is the better option because d is starving yourself which creates unhealthy habits, c would cause yo yo dieting or binging because you treat food as a reward which is a toxic mindset, and a same explanation. I wish there was an answer to just track what you eat, have daily exercise and enjoy in moderation, though.
