I haven't worked on Part-A, and I don't happen to know the magnitude of the gravitational force that the Sun exerts on the Earth.
But whatever it is, it's exactly, precisely, identical, the same, and equal to the magnitude of the gravitational force that the Earth exerts on the Sun.
I think that's the THIRD choice here, but I'm not sure of that either.
Hello!
A stretched spring has 5184 J of elastic potential energy and a spring constant of 16,200 N/m. What is the displacement of the spring ?
Data:

For a spring (or an elastic), the elastic potential energy is calculated by the following expression:

Where k represents the elastic constant of the spring (or elastic) and x the deformation or displacement suffered by the spring.
Solving:

Answer:
The displacement of the spring = 0.8 m

Answer: 13.2 seconds.
Explanation: using equation of motion; S= ut +1/2at² where u = initial velocity=0
S= distance travelled
a = acceleration due gravity
t= time.
1 foot = 0.305m so,
S= 2860 feet =872.3m
S= ut+1/2 at²
872.3 = 0×t + 1/2×10 × t²
872.3 =0 + 5t²
T²= 872.3/5
T²= 174.46
Take the square root of T we then have;
t = 13.2 seconds to one decimal place.
Answer : Option D) 90°N and 90°S
Explanation : The latitudes which are given in the options are the angle to be measured in the direction of north and south respectively taking equator as the central line.
When it is 90°N and 90°S it means it forms an right angle and faces towards north and south respectively with respect to the equator, so there are high chances of pointing towards the Arctic and Antarctic regions respectively; therefore giving greater probability of finding glaciers.
Stationary at rest or moving with constant motion
Explanation:
If the force acting upon an object are balanced, the object must be stationary or at rest or moving with constant velocity.
According to newton's first law of motion;
"An object will remain in its state of rest or of uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force".
This suggests that body at rest has balanced forces acting upon it.
