We grow crops (plants) on earth, so it's very important for that to go beyond earth because if there is no way to grow crops, we won't get enough nutrients from some synthetic (fake) food. hope I helped! :)

Can you use a machine to gain both force and speed at the same time? explain.
crimeas [40]
Well, It rather depends on your definition of "machine." The normal physics set of simple machines - levers, pulleys, ramps all give you increased the force at the expense of reduced speed or increased the rate at the cost of reduced force. So, no - by definition a machine is an arrangement for multiplying one while paying the cost by reducing the other. You are looking at an example of the Conservation of Energy. One of the giant rules we are pretty sure cannot be violated.

A piston absorbs 25 J of heat from its surroundings while expanding from
Ivahew [28]
 • The work done is -30 J
 • The heat is 25 J

What is the heat and the work?

We know that the work done by a gas could be positive or negative same as the heat. If the work done is positive then work is done on the system.

The work done is obtained from;

W = PΔV

W = 1.0 x 105 Pa(0.0006 m³ - 0.0003 m³)

W = 30 J

Given that the gas absorbs heat from the surroundings and the gas is expanding.

 • The work done is -30 J
 • The heat is 25 J

A thunderclap sends a sound wave through the air and the ocean below. The
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

C. 14.93 m

Explanation:

The given frequency of the wave, f = 100 Hz

The given equation for the wave speed, v, is presented as follows;

v = f × λ

The speed of sound in water, v = 1,493 m/s

Therefore, we get;

The wavelength, λ = v/f

∴ λ = 1,493 m/s/(100 Hz) = 14.93 m

The wavelength, λ = 14.93 m.
