What are liver/lung flukes?

A liver fluke is a parasitic worm. Infections in humans usually occur after eating contaminated raw or undercooked freshwater fish or watercress. After liver flukes have been ingested, they travel from your intestines to your bile ducts in your liver where they then live and grow.

Although most infected individuals don’t show any symptoms, sometimes symptoms arise related to the biliary system. In rare cases, long-term complications can also develop.

Liver fluke infections aren’t common in the United States, but they do occur. Your risk of infection increases if you travel to parts of the world where the parasites are widespread.

Eldon is a patient who is using oxygen administered from a wall mount and nasal cannula. The nursing assistant is setting up his
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

Answer A is incorrect because the nurse should be checking to make sure that bubbles are NOT in the humidifier. A is insinuating that there SHOULD be bubbles in the humidifier.

Answers C and D are incorrect because the nursing assistant's job does not entail educating the patient about how to and how not to work the machinery. She is in charge of making sure the patient is getting the oxygen she needs, making sure her tubes are clean, and overall checking the patient's physical health. So the best answer would be B.
