Senator Smith's percentage rating must increase by 13% in other to undo the previous decreases.

Initial rating = 62%

April rating = 57%

May rating = 57% - 8% = 49%

Final rating after decrease = May rating = 49%

In other to return to initial rating :

Initial rating - Final rating

62% - 49% = 13%

Hence, in other to undo the decrease in April and May rating, Senator Smith's percentage rating must increase by 13%

Olve the two-step equation and identify the steps.<br><br> 2 = − 7<br> 4<br> + 1<br> 4<br> x
saul85 [17]

Answer:

x = 5.142

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>2=-74+14x</em>

if you want to make x the subject (work out its value), you need to single out x

1) the first thing that we can do is get rid of the -74

2) do this by adding it on to both sides of the equation. This is called the inverse

<em>2+-74=-72   -74+14x=14x</em>

<em>-72=14x</em>

3) to get x on its own, we now need to get rid of the 14

REMEMBER:<em> 14x = 14×x</em>

4) We do the inverse by dividing both sides by 14

<em>-72÷14=-5.142..</em>.

its surprising that its not an integer

<em>5.142=x</em>

<em>x=5.142 </em>

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT

Match each graph with the correct cosine function based on its period.
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

1. cos (x/2)

2.y=cos(4x)

3. y=cos(x)

4.y= cos(x/4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph of cosine function is sinusoidal and the y value ranges between -1 to 1.

the cosine function is periodic with general period P of 2π

if P< 2π then cosine graph experience a compression horizontally

if P>2π then cosine graph experience a stretch horizontally

for graph 1, the period is 4π hence the graph is stretched with period of 4π

for graph 2, the period is π/2 hence the graph is compressed with period of π/2

for graph 3, the period is 2π hence the graph is periodic with period of 2π

for graph 4, the period is 8π hence the graph is stretched with period of 4π
