Find the lengths of the remaining sides of the triangle. c = 14 a is 60 degrees b is 30 degrees a = b =
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

  • a=7√3
  • b=7

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle C is ...

  C = 180° -A -B = 180° -60° -30° = 90°

This is a right triangle with hypotenuse length 14.

  a = c·sin(A) = 14·sin(60°) = 7√3

  b = c·sin(B) = 14·sin(30°) = 7

The remaining sides are b=7 and a=7√3.

The polynomial representing the area of the is 49n² - 25

How to determine the polynomial

The formula for area of a square is expressed as;

Area = a²

Where a is the side length

From the image shown, we can see that the side length takes the value (7n - 5)

Substitute the value into the formula

Area = a²

Area = (7n - 5)²

Area = (7n - 5) ( 7n + 5); this is so because of the difference of two squares

Expand the bracket

Area = 49n² + 35n - 35n - 25

collect like terms

Area = 49n² - 25

Thus, the polynomial representing the area of the cube is 49n² - 25

Romashka [77]

Use substitution

From second equation:-

x = 13 - 5y,                   Substitute for x in the first eqaution:

(13 - 5y)^2 + y^2 = 13

169 -130y + 25y^2 + y^2 - 13 = 0

26y^2  - 130y + 156  = 0

26(y^2 - 5y + 6) = 0

26(y - 3)(y - 2) = 0

y = 2 , y = 3

From the second equation when y = 2, x =  13 - 5(2) = 3

and when y = 3,  x = 13 - 5(3) = -2

So the solution is   [3, 2} and {-2, 3}
