When methane burns in oxygen to yield carbon dioxide and water the products of this reaction is carbon dioxide and water ( answer C)

Explanation

Product is substance that is formed as result of a chemical reaction.

when chemical reaction is written down products are written on right hand side.

Carbon dioxide and water are the product since are yield of the reaction when methane burns in oxygen.

In addition Carbon dioxide (CO2) and water(H2O) are written on the right side when writing down the reaction of combustion of methane.

Oxygen gas is esential for living beings why
Darina [25.2K]
Oxygen plays a critical role in respiration, the energy-producing chemistry that drives the metabolisms of most living things. We humans, along with many other creatures, need oxygen in the air we breathe to stay alive. Oxygen is generated during photosynthesis by plants and many types of microbes.

butalik [34]

Answer:

A. 11

Explanation:

atoms are made of three types of sub atomic particles - protons, neutrons and electrons

Protons are positively charged, electrons are negatively charged and neutrons are neutral.

Protons and neutrons are located inside the nucleus and electrons orbit around the nucleus in energy shells.

Atoms make up an element and atoms are neutral charged with an equal number of protons and electrons. Neutral atom of sodium would therefore have an equal number of positive charges and negative charges.

Since Na has 11 protons, for it to be neutral it would have 11 electrons

2FePO4+3 Na2so4--->Fe2(so4) + 2 Na3Po4 if i ise 25grams of iron iii phosphate 18.5 g iton what is my percent yeild?
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

56%

Explanation:

If I use 25 grams of iron (III) phosphate and obtain 18.5 g of iron (III) sulfate, what is my percent yield?

Step 1: Write the balanced equation

2 FePO₄ + 3 Na₂SO₄ ⇒ Fe₂(SO₄)₃ + 2 Na₃PO₄

Step 2: Calculate the theoretical yield of Fe₂(SO₄)₃

The mass ratio of FePO₄ to Fe₂(SO₄)₃ is 301.64:399.88.

25 g FePO₄ × 399.88 g Fe₂(SO₄)₃/301.64 g FePO₄ = 33 g Fe₂(SO₄)₃

Step 3: Calculate the percent yield of Fe₂(SO₄)₃

We will use the following expression.

%yield = (experimental yield/theoretical yield) × 100%

%yield = (18.5 g/33 g) × 100% = 56%
