NARA [144]

Ans(a):

Given function is f(x)=\frac{3x-1}{x+4}

we know that any rational function is not defined when denominator is 0 so that means denominator x+4 can't be 0

so let's solve

x+4≠0 for x

x≠0-4

x≠-4

Hence at x=4, function can't have solution.

Ans(b):

We know that vertical shift occurs when we add something on the right side of function so vertical shift by 4 units means add 4 to f(x)

so we get:

g(x)=f(x)+4

g(x)=\frac{3x-1}{x+4}+4

We may simplify this equation but that is not compulsory.

Comparision:

Graph of g(x) will be just 4 unit upward than graph of f(x).

Ans(c):

To find value of x when g(x)=8, just plug g(x)=8 in previous equation

8=\frac{3x-1}{x+4}+4

8-4=\frac{3x-1}{x+4}

4=\frac{3x-1}{x+4}

4(x+4)=(3x-1)

4x+16=3x-1

4x-3x=-1-16

x=-17

Hence final answer is x=-17

Give me an example of an irrational number that is greater than 10
Pavel [41]

To find:

An irrational number that is greater than 10.

Solution:

Irritation number: It cannot be expression in the form of \dfrac{p}{q}, where, q\neq 0, p,q are integers.

For example: \sqrt{2}\sqrt{3},\pi, 1.263689...,etc..

We know that square of 10 is 100. So, square root of any prime number is  an example of an irrational number that is greater than 10.

First prime number after 100 is 101.

Required irrational number =\sqrt{101}

Therefore, \sqrt{101} is an irrational number that is greater than 10.

Answer:

500

Step-by-step explanation:

During one month, there were 2,000 people who used the advertiser links on a website. The percent of people who clicked on each

advertisement link is shown in the circle graph. Calculate the number of people who clicked on the link for each type of advertisement. How

many people used the Music link?

Advertiser Links

Computers

2396

Music

25%

TVS

3%

Movies

1796

Cell phones

32%

340

450

500

540

Then You Turn The Music Percent Into A Decimal Which Is .25% Then Times That By 2000 And You Get .25 X 2000 = 500
