We can eliminate the y term by multiplying by -1 and adding
-9x-5y=18
multiply -1
9x+5y=-18
add
     3x-5y=-6
  + 9x+5y=-18
     12x+0y=-24
12x=-24
divide by 12
x=-2

subsitute
3(-2)-5y=-6
-6-5y=-6
add 6 to both sides
-5y=0
y=0

x=-2
y=0

Margie needs to know the square footage for the first floor of the condo her client wants to make an offer on. The kitchen is 10
rodikova [14]

Answer: the total square footage is

850 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

The kitchen is 10 feet by 15 feet. This means that the volume of the kitchen would be

10 × 15 = 150 ft³

The living/dining combo is 20 feet by 25 feet. This means that the volume of the living/dining combo would be

20 × 25 = 500 ft³

The office and sunroom are each 10 feet by 10 feet. This means that the volume of the office would be

10 × 10 = 100 ft³

Also, the volume of the sunroom would be

10 × 10 = 100 ft³

Therefore, the total square footage is

150 + 500 + 100 + 100 = 850 ft³

You receive a gift card for an
vesna_86 [32]
Answer: $20

Explanation: If you have $17.70 after 2 games and $14.25 after 5, you do 17.70-14.25; which equals $3.45 so in 3 games you spend $3.45 now divide that by 3 to determine the unit value; which equals $1.15, so you spend $1.15 on every game now times that by 2 which is $2.30 and add that to $17.70 to see the original amount of money on the card which was $20

Dale has $1,000 to invest. He has a goal to have $2,400 in this investment in 12 years. At what annual rate compounded continuou
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

9%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

The invested amount is $1,000

The future value is $2,400

The time period is 12 years

We need to find out the annual rate that compounded continously

So,

As we know that

Amount = Present value × e^(rate × time)

$2,500 = $1,000 × e^(rate × 12)

2.5 = e^(rate × 12)

ln 2.5 = 10r

ln 2.5 ÷ 10 = r

r = 9%
