Answer:

f×g=

= 2x \times (5x + 2) \\  = 10 {x}^{2}  + 4x \\  = 10 \times  {3}^{2}  + 4 \times 3 \\  = 90 + 12 \\  = 102

Consider the sequence -2, 6, -18, 54,
hram777 [196]

Answer: The sequence is geometric

Step-by-step explanation:

In an arithmetic sequence, the consecutive terms differ by a common difference and this difference is linear.

Common difference = given term - the term before it

In geometric progression, the consecutive terms differ by a common ratio this difference is exponential.

Common ratio = given term/the term before it

Looking at the given sequence,

1) d = 6 - - 2 is not equal to - 18 - 6

Therefore, it is not an arithmetic sequence

2) r = 6/- 2 = - 18/6 = - 3

Therefore, it is a geometric sequence.

A slide 4.3 m long makes an angle of 31 degrees with the ground how high is the top of the slide above the ground
tia_tia [17]
Given that the slide is 4.3 m long and makes an angle of 31°, then to get how high the slide is above the ground we use trigonometry formula.
sin θ=opposite/hypotenuse
opposite=x=how high the slide is above the ground
hypotenuse=length of the slide=4.3 m
θ=31°
plugging the values in the formula and solving for x we obtain
sin 31=x/4.3
x=4.3×tan 31
x=4.3(0.6009)
x=2.58387
x~2.6 m

Hence we conclude that the top of the slide is approximately 2.6 m from the ground

Can you help me answer this question
r-ruslan [8.4K]
Division of a fraction is the equivalent of multiplying by its reciprocal
ex.
\frac{\frac{A}{B} }{\frac{C}{D}}=\frac{A}{B} *\frac{D}{C}
i suggest you try to remember this concept

in terms of your question

\frac{\frac{4c-12}{4c+8}}{\frac{c-3}{c^2-4}}= \frac{4c-12}{4c+8} *\frac{c^2 -4}{c-3}

from this point, just multiple the numerators together and denominators together, then simplify if necessary

fyi- difference of squares
x^2-b^2 = (x-b)(x+b)
relating that to
c^2-4 = c^2 -2^2 = (c-2)(c+2)

also a side note, you might want to factor out the 4 first in the top fraction
