Answer:

Boyle's law states that at constant temperature the volume of a given mass of a dry gas is inversely proportional to its pressure. Most gases behave like ideal gases at moderate pressures and temperatures. The technology of the 17th century could not produce very high pressures or very low temperatures.

Which of the following equations is balanced?
Gnesinka [82]

Answer: c

Explanation:

The way to check which one is the correct one is to simply multiply and see if there are the same number of atoms in both sides for each element.

a. 2×2 atoms of Al ≠ 3×1 atoms of Al

2×3 atoms of O = 3×2 atoms of O

BOTH MUST BE EQUAL FOR IT TO BE ADJUSTED!!!!!

b. 3×2 atoms of Al ≠ 3×1 atoms of Al

3×3 atoms of O ≠ 2×2 atoms of O

c. 2×2 atoms of Al = 4×1 atoms of Al

2×3 atoms of O = 3×2 atoms of O

BOTH ARE EQUAL, CORRECT ANSWER!!!

d. 2×2 atoms of Al ≠ 1×1 atoms of Al

2×3 atoms of O = 3×2 atoms of O

Ammonia at 10◦c with a mass of 10 kg is in a piston/cylinder assembly with an initial volume of 1 m3. the piston initially resti
jeyben [28]

Here mass is floating on the piston at equilibrium

So it will have constant pressure always remains constant

So final pressure is same as initial pressure = 900 kPa

now we can say

\frac{V_1}{V_2} = \frac{T_1}{T_2}

\frac{1}{V_2} = \frac{273+10}{273+50}

V_2 = 1.14 m^3

so final pressure is 900 kPa and final volume is 1.14 m^3

T = mg + ma solve for a
Gnoma [55]
You said                        T           =  mg + ma

Subtract  mg
from each side:            T - mg  =            ma

Divide each side by  m :      a  =  (T-mg) / m

                                          or  a  =  T/m  -  g
