Answer:

A. scientists have discovered new planets orbiting a star by detecting a wobble in the star's motions.

Explanation:

As can be seen from the options only first option shows an observation. Here the scientists observed the wobbling of the stars and through that they deduced that there will be planets orbiting around that star. This deductions stands true as the gravity of the planet affects the motion of the star as well. Other options do not show such instances.

The answer is A because it is showing how they made an observation

To 100.0 g water at 25.00 ºc in a well-insulated container is added a block of aluminum initially at 100.0 ºc. the temperature o
11111nata11111 [884]
When the amount of heat gained = the amount of heat loss

so, M*C*ΔTloses = M*C* ΔT gained

when here the water is gained heat as the Ti = 25°C and Tf= 28°C so it gains more heat.

∴( M * C * ΔT )W = (M*C*ΔT) Al

when Mw is the mass of water = 100 g

and C the specific heat capacity of water = 4.18

and ΔT the change in temperature for water= 28-25 = 3 ° C

and ΔT the change in temperature for Al = 100-28= 72°C

and M Al is the mass of Al block

C is the specific heat capacity of the block = 0.9

so by substitution:

100 g * 4.18*3 = M Al * 0.9*72

∴ the mass of Al block is = 100 g *4.18 / 0.9*72

                                          = 19.35 g

Both protons and neutrons (and their anti-particles) froze out:
VladimirAG [237]
I think Both protons and neutrons (and their anti-particles) froze out at 1013 K, about 0.0001 seconds after the Big Bang. Protons and neutrons are sub atomic particles of an atom that are found in the nucleus of an atom. Proton is the positively charge particle while the neutron has no charge. The proton positive charge accounts for the positive nuclear charge.

Which phrase accurately describes an elliptical galaxy?
Crank

Answer:

Elliptical galaxies are one of the three types of galaxies. They have a rounded shape of an ellipse, like a stretched-out circle. They lack the swirling arms that are a main feature of spiral galaxies.

Some SO2 and O2 are mixed together in a flask at 1100 K in such a way ,that at the instant of mixing, their partial pressures ar
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

The answer is "\bold{0.525\ \ atm^{-1}}"

Explanation:

Given equation:

2SO_2(g) + O_2(g) \leftrightharpoons 2SO_3(g)

Given value:

\Delta rH =-198.2 \ \ \frac{KJ}{mol}

Kp=1100 \ K

\Delta x = 2-(2+1)\\\\

     = 2-(2+1)\\\\= 2-(3)\\\\= -1

\left\begin{array}{cccc}I\ (atm)&1&0.5&0\\C\ (atm)&2x&-x&2x\\E\ (atm) &1-2x&0.5-x&2x\end{array}\right

calculating the total pressure on equilibrium=  (1-2x)+(0.5-x)+2x \ atm\\\\

                                                                         = 1-2x+0.5-x+2x\\\\= 1+0.5-x\\\\=1.5-x\\

\therefore \\\\\to 1.50-x= 1.35 \\\\\to 1.50-1.35= x\\\\\to 0.15= x\\\\ \to x= 0.15\\\\

calculating the pressure in  So_2:

= (1-2 \times 0.15)

= 1-0.30 \\\\ =0.70 \ atm

calculating the pressure in  O_2:

= (0.5- 0.15)\\\\= 0.35 \ atm \\

calculating the pressure in  So_3:

= (2 \times 0.15)\\\\= (.30) \ atm \\\\

Calculating the Kp at 1100 K:

= \frac{(Pressure(So_3))^2}{(Pressure(So_2))^2 \times Pressure(O_2)}\\\\= \frac{0.30^2}{0.70^2 \times 0.35}\\\\= \frac{0.30 \times 0.30 }{0.70\times 0.70 \times 0.35}\\\\= \frac{0.09 }{0.49\times 0.35} \\\\= \frac{0.09 }{0.1715} \\\\= 0.5247 \ \ or \ \ 0.525 \ \ atm^{-1} \\\\
