The puck stopped so work done by friction is the same as the initial kinetic energy, 1/2*mass*velocity^2.

1/2*0.16*50^2=200J. The answer is C.

A snail travels 300 cm in 4 minutes.calculate speed of snail in m/s
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

\frac{0.0125m}{s}

Explanation:

In order to solve this question we need to know that  speed = \frac{distance}{time}. Then we need to convert 4 minutes into seconds and cm into m. We can do that by multiplying the number of minutes by 60 (because there is 60 seconds in one minute) and dividing the number of cm by 100 (because there is 100 cm in one m). So.......

4min = 4 x 60s = 240s

300cm = 300/100 m = 3m

Now we know that distance = 300m, and that the time = 4min = 240s ⇒

⇒ speed=\frac{distance}{time} = \frac{3m}{240s} = \frac{0.0125m}{s}

Two steamrollers begin 100 m apart and head toward each other, each at a constant speed of 1.00 m/s . At the same instant, a fly
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

The fly travels 2.4 m

Explanation:

Since the Two steamrollers begin 100 m apart and head toward each other, each at a constant speed of 1.00 m/s, we can find the time until they crash by the formula:

Distance = Speed × Time

Time = Distance /Speed

Time = (100 m) / (1 m/s)

Time = 100 hours

Now, the fly will spend the same amount of time traveling as the steamrollers.

Since the fly moves at a speed of 2.4 m/s and we have a time of one hour the steamroller take to collide, then the fly will go a distance of;

Distance = speed x time = 2.4 × 1 = 2.4 m

Use the figure to help you find the weight (Fg) of the body if the tension in both wires is 3.7 newtons.
topjm [15]
I'm not completely sure, but I think it's 3.4 newtons. I hope you get it correct.
