Chemistry

Answer:

2NH3 - Gas Phase

2 NaCl - Solid Phase

2KNO3+PBI2 - Aqueous Phase

Explanation:

2NH3 is ammonia gas which is colorless and has a bad pungent smell.

NaCl is salt. It has crystalline structure and can exhibit both aqueous or a liquid phase. Since there is no H2O molecule in the formula of NaCl, hence it is not aqueous. It is not liquid as well because liquid NaCl is represented as NaCl (l) while aqueous NaCl is represented as NaCl (aq).

The reaction 2KNO3+PBI2 will take place in aqueous phase and hence these two exists in aqueous phase

A sample of helium has a volume of 50.00 L at STP. How many helium atoms are in the sample? Show work
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

Explanation:

molar volume at STP=22.4 L

given volume=50.0 L

number of moles=given volume/molar volume

number of moles=50.0/22.4

number of moles=2.2

1 mole of helium =6.023*10^23 atoms

2.2 moles of helium =6.023*10^23*2.2=1.3*10^24

therefore 50.0 L of helium contain 1.33*10^24 atoms

why can you find different features at an oceanic-continental convergent zone than those found at a continental-continental conv
arlik [135]
Continental plates are much thicker that Oceanic plates. At the convergent boundaries the continental plates are pushed upward and gain thickness. The rocks and geological layers are much older on continental plates than in the oceanic plates. The Continental plates are much less dense than the Oceanic plates.

The mixture which contains elements only is (a) air (b) brass (c) mineral water (d) seawater
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

So yes! A mixture can contain just elements if those elements are not chemically reactive to one another. Air is a great example of an elemental mixture as it contains nitrogen, oxygen, and argon (along with some other compounds).

An organic compound is composed of 38.7% C, 9.70% H, 51.6% O. The compound has a molecular formula mass of 62.0g/mol.
Tcecarenko [31]

B)C2H6O2

First, convert each percentage to grams: 38.7g, 9.70g, and 51.6g.
Next, calculate the number of moles of each element, based on the number of grams given.
C = 3.23 mol
H = 8.91 mol
O = 3.23 mol
Set up the ratio of moles of each element:
C3.34H9.70O3.23. Convert the decimals to whole numbers by dividing by the smallest subscript, 3.23.
The empirical formula is CH3O.
Now, compute the formula mass, which is 31. Finally, divide the molecular mass by the formula mass, 62/31 = 2. Multiple the subscripts by 2 to get the molecular formula.
