12, 6

First Simplify
3x - 30 = y
7y - 6 = 3x

Next, Eliminate One of the variables
6y = 36

Divide
y = 6

Substitute y and solve
-3x + 7 x 6 = 6
X = 12

Checker solution, not necessarily needed
3 x 12 - 30 = 6
7 x 6 - 6 = 3 x 12
6 = 6
36 = 36

12, 6 Is the Answer
or another way to put it is
(x, y) = (12, 6)

Suppose that each quarter at a particular community college Jared has to pay $729 in tuition and $22 in fees.
k0ka [10]

Answer:

\$3755

Step-by-step explanation:

For 1 Quarter:

Amount\ paid\ in\ tuition=\$729\\\\Amount\ paid\ in\ fees=\$22\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 1\ Quarter=Amount\ paid\ in\ tuition+Amount\ paid\ in\ fees\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 1\ Quarter=729+22\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 1\ Quarter=\$ 751

For 5 Quarter:

Remaining\ Quarters=5\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 5\ Quarter=Number\ of\ quarters\times Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 1\ Quarter\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 5\ Quarter=5\times 751\\\\Total\ amount\ paid\ in\ 5\ Quarter=\$3755\\\\So\ total\ \$3755\ is\ required\ for\ tuition\ and\ fees.

a construction company charges $15 per hour for debris removal , plus a one -time fee for the use of the trash dumpster.the tota
ser-zykov [4K]

Let h be the numbers of hours, f be the one-time fee and c the cost charged. The equation is

c=15h+f

Since you pay $15 per four, plus the fee. We can solve this equation for the fee:

f=c-15h

If we plug c=195 and h=9, we have

f=195-15\cdot 9=195-135=60

What is the equation in point-slope form of the line passing through (4, 0) and (2, 6)? (5 points) y = 4x − 2 y = 2x − 4 y = −3(
DIA [1.3K]

For this case we have that by definition, the point-slope equation of a line is given by:

y-y_ {0} = m (x-x_ {0})

We have the following points:

(x_ {1}, y_ {1}) :( 2,6)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}) :( 4,0)\\m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}} = \frac {0-6} {4-2} = \frac {-6} {2} = -3

We chose a point:

(x_ {0}, y_ {0}) :( 4,0)

Substituting in the equation we have:

y-0 = -3 (x-4)\\y = -3 (x-4)

Finally, the equation is: y = -3 (x-4)
