This parallelogram has an area of 27.17.

To find this you use the formula a = bh

So when you fill in base (b) and height (h) with the values provides you get the formula a = 5.66 x 4.8 then you just multiply those two numbers together. If you don't understand any part of this, please let me know and I will explain in more detail.

A = bh

b=5\dfrac{2}{3}=\dfrac{5\cdot3+2}{3}=\dfrac{17}{3}\\\\h=4\dfrac{4}{5}=\dfrac{4\cdot5+4}{5}=\dfrac{24}{5}\\\\A=\dfrac{17}{3}\cdot\dfrac{24}{5}=\dfrac{17}{1}\cdot\dfrac{8}{5}=\dfrac{17\cdot8}{1\cdot5}=\dfrac{136}{5}=27.2

Answer: A = 27.2.

If you're looking for the simplified version of the fraction, you have to factor both numerator and denominator.

The numerator is actually already a prime number, so we're good

The denominator factors as 153 = 3^2\cdot 17

So, a 3 appears in both numerator and denominator. We can simplify it:

\cfrac{3}{153} = \cfrac{3}{3^2\cdot 17} = \cfrac{1}{3\cdot 17} = \cfrac{1}{51}

If you want to compute the approximated value of this fraction, simply plug these values into some calculator to get

\cfrac{1}{51} \approx 0.0196078431372\ldots
