I need help ! It’s says try to analyze it for clues about its purpose and meaning .
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The scatter plot shows that there is a negative linear trend.  That as the distance to the coffee shop increases, whatever the y value represents goes down.

6 below and 6 above

(1,4)  (7,1)  Coordinates of the two points on the trend line

I can't see what the Y axis represents so can't really explain the prediction but as the distance to the coffee shop increases, whatever the Y axis represents will decrease.

Al saves pennines. He agreed to give 6/13 of his pennines to Bev if she would give 6/13 of what she got from Al to Carl and if C
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

24,167 pennies

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's see what happens if we say Al had 1000 pennies.

Bev would get 6/13 of 1000 which is  462 pennies. ((6/13)*1000)

Continuing like this Carl would get (6/13)*462 = 213

Dani would get 213(6/13)=98

Now, another way of writing this is 1000*(6/13)*(6/13)*(6/13).  hopefully that makes sense, if not let me know.

Anyway, what is another way of writing this?  If it isn't clear how else can you write 3*3*3*3?  Exponents is the answer.  3*3*3*3=3^4 and (6/13)*(6/13)*(6/13)= (6/13)^3, so you can write the whole equation as 1000(6/13)^3=98

Now, using the information given in the question we know how much is gotten by Dani as well as (6/13)^3, but we don't know how much we start with.  So instead of 1,000 like I showed lets use a variable x.

x*(6/13)^3 = 2376

Now you can use algebra to solve for x

x*(6/13)^3 = 2376 step one let's just figure out what (6/13)^3 is.

x*(216/2197) = 2376  Now here you can either divide by 216/2197 or multiply by 2197 then divide by 216, it's the same thing.

x = 24167

You can double check too with 24167*(6/13)^3

Determine if the sequence is arithmetic. If it is, find the common difference.
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

In an arithmetic sequence, the difference between any two consecutive terms must always be the same number, which is known as the common difference.

So we just need to take different pairs of consecutive terms and see if their difference is always the same:

1) The differences are:

32 - 35 = -3

29 - 32 = -3

26 - 29 = -3

So yes, this is an arithmetic sequence and the common difference is -3

2) The differences are:

-23 - (-3) = -20

-43 - (-23) = -20

-63 - (-43) = -20

This is an arithmetic sequence, and the common difference is -20

3) The differences are:

-64 -(-34) = -30

-94 -(-64) = -30

-124 -(-94) = -30

This is an arithmetic sequence and the common difference is -30

4) The differences are:

-40 -(-30) = -10

-50 - (-40) = -10

-60 - (-50) = -10

This is an arithmetic sequence and the common difference is -10

5) The differences are:

-9 - (-7) = -2

-11 - (-9) = -2

-13 - (-11) = -2

This is an arithmetic sequence, and the common difference is -2

6) The differences are:

14 - 9 = 5

19 - 14 = 5

24 - 19 = 5

This is an arithmetic sequence, and the common difference is 5.
