Answer:  C. Measure the soil's volume and then the volume of water that the soil can absorb.

Soil porosity can be defined as the amount of pores or air spaces present inside the soil mass. These pores forms due to the movement of roots, earthworms and insects inside the soil. These pores helps in aeration of the soil and water retention. Both of these factors helps in the growth of the plants.

Porosity can be judged by the measuring the soil's volume and then the volume of water that the soil can absorb. The volume of water found in the soil will depend upon the amount of pores present in the soil hence, reflecting the porosity of the soil.

A 1.2 x10 3 kilogram automobile in motion strikes a 1.0 x 10 -4 kilogram insect as a result the insect is accelerated at a rate
Mariana [72]
According to Newton's second law, the force applied to an object is equal to the product between the mass of the object and its acceleration:
F=ma
where F is the magnitude of the force, m is the mass of the object and a its acceleration.

In this problem, the object is the insect, with mass m=1.0 \cdot 10^{-4} kg. The acceleration of the insect is a=1.0 \cdot 10^2 m/s^2, therefore we can calculate the force exerted by the car on the insect:
F=ma=(1.0 \cdot 10^{-4} kg)(1.0 \cdot 10^2 m/s^2)=0.01 N

How do we find the force exerted by the insect on the car?
According to Newton's third law (known as action-reaction law), when an object A exerts a force on an object B, object B also exerts a force equal and opposite on object A. Therefore, the force exerted by the insect on the car is equal to the force exerted by the car on the object, so it is 0.01 N.

ryzh [129]

Answer:

They walk 3,600 meters

Explanation:

7.5 minutes = 450 seconds.

Because they are walking at 8 meters per 1 second, multiply 8 by 450.

= 3600m

What is similar about analogical and symbolic representations?
ICE Princess25 [194]
Symbolic representations are mental pictures that have no direct relationship to the actual object you are thinking about. Instead, these mental pictures are connected by themes that are meaningful to you. Anytime you think of words and descriptions for one main concept, you're thinking symbolically. Analogical representations are mental pictures that have a direct relationship to the actual object you are thinking about. Do cows have their ears on the top or side of their heads? Rather than thinking symbolically about a cow and his ears (tiny, smelly, leather), analogical representations of the cow's ears involve thinking of an actual cow in your head.
