Answer:

1. A glass of water at 80°C because the more heat it will recieve, the more temperature increases. Heat is a sort of energy so the more it is heated, the more energy the water will recieve. So in comparison to 20°C, 80°C has more energy in it because it has a higher temperature.

2. An aluminium can at 30°C because the more heat it will recieve, the more temperature increases. Heat is a sort of energy so the more it is heated, the more energy the aluminium will recieve. So in comparison to 20°C, 30°C has more energy in it because it has a higher temperature.

A satellite circles the earth in an orbit whose radius is six times the earth's radius. The earth's mass is 5.98 1024 kg, and it
makkiz [27]

Answer:

The period of the satellite is 12.05 s.

Explanation:

The period of the satellite can be determined by;

T = \sqrt{\frac{4\pi ^{2} r^{2}  }{GM} }

where: T is the period, r is the radius of the orbit, G is the gravitation constant and M is the mass of the Earth.

Given that: r = 6 x (6.38 x 10^{6}) = 38.28 x 10^{6} m, M = 5.98 x  10^{24} kg, G = 6.673 x 10^{-11} Nm^{2}/ kg^{2}.

Therefore,

T = \sqrt{\frac{4*(\frac{22}{7} )^{2} (38.28*10^{6}) ^{2}  }{6.673*10^{-11} *5.98*10^{24} } }

  = \sqrt{\frac{5.79*10^{16} }{3.99*10^{14} } }

  = \sqrt{145.113}

  = 12.0463

T = 12.05 s

The period of the satellite is 12.05 s.

. A 5 kg turkey and a 3.5 kg turkey are suspended on opposite sides of a single pulley.
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

a) 40.3725 N

b) a=1.729 m/s^2

Explanation:

mass of turkey 1 M= 5 kg

mass of turkey 2 m= 3.5 kg

Let T be the tension in the string and a be the acceleration of the system

then from FBD in the attachment

T-mg=ma.................1

Mg-T=Ma..................2

from 1 and 2 we find a as

a= \frac{Mg-mg}{M+m}

now substituting the values we get

a= \frac{5g-3.5g}{5+3.5}

a= \frac{1.5g}{8.5}

a=1.729 m/s^2

now from equation 1 we can calculate Tension T as

T-mg=ma

T= m(a+g)

T= 3.5(1.729+9.81)= 40.3725 N

The manipulated variable is plotted on the horizontal axis
tatuchka [14]
<span>True.

Manipulated variable or also called the controlled variables are variables in which you regulate. Manipulate or as said control. By this you want to certain the outcome of a certain experiment. Making it close to which you want it or desired it to be, possibly. Characteristics could be: </span>
<span><span>1.       </span>You are able to have govern or a certain variable is controllable.</span> <span><span>
2.       </span>The outcome or effect of a particular variable was what you were determining or were testing with high probability</span>

Calculate the speed of an object that tavels 62.43m in 38.4s
TiliK225 [7]
The speed of the object can be calculated using the formula:

Speed = distance/time

The given values are:
distance = 62.43 m
time = 38.4 s

Solution:

speed = 62.43 m / 38.4 s = 1.63 m/s

Therefore, the speed of an object that travels 62.43m in 38.4s is <span> 1.63 m/s.</span>
