Which air pocket would you expect to cool down more at night?

Answer: The ocean air.

Why?

Because ocean water seems to cool faster at night which may cause the ocean air to cool down more at night.

A 1500kg car accelerates uniformly from 14m/s to 23m/s in 10.0s. What was the
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Explanation:

An impulse will result in a change of momentum.

The momentum change is

1500(23 - 14) = 13500 kg•m/s

so the applied impulse p = Ft

F = p/t

F = 13500/10 = 1350 N

A motorcycle sees a branch in the road, and hits the brakes, slowing down at -6.42m/s^2. If it takes him 2.85s to stop, what was
Alborosie

Answer:

The initial velocity of the motorcycle is 18.29 m/s.

Explanation:

Given that,

When a motorcycle hits the brakes, its final speed becomes zero.

Acceleration of the motorcycle, a=-6.42\ m/s^2

Time taken to stop, t = 2.85 s

We need to find the initial velocity of the motorcycle. The first equation of kinematics is given by :

v=u+at\\\\-u=at\\\\u=6.42\times 2.85\\\\u=18.29\ m/s

So, the initial velocity of the motorcycle is 18.29 m/s.

Given the acceleration, initial velocity, and initial position of a ball thrown vertically upward, how long does it take for it
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

t = \frac{v_{o} }{g}

ymax=  y₀ + v₀²/2g

Explanation:

The equations of uniformly accelerated rectilinear motion of upward (vertical) for the y axis are :

vfy = v₀y-gt Formula (1)

vfy² = v₀y²-2gΔy   Formula (2)

Where:

t: time in any position (s)

Δy= y-y₀

y = vertical position in any time (m)

y₀ : initial vertical position in meters (m)

v₀y: initial vertical velocity in m/s

vfy: final vertical velocity in m/s

g: acceleration due to gravity in m/s²

Data

v₀y = v₀ : total initial speed of the ball

y₀ : initial vertical position of the ball

g  :acceleration due to gravity

Time (t) calculation for the ball to reach maximum height

We apply the formula (1)

vfy =  v₀y-gt

When the ball reaches its maximum height (h), vy = 0:

0= v₀-gt

v₀ = gt

t = \frac{v_{o} }{g}

Calculation of the maximum hight that reaches the ball

When the ball reaches its maximum height (ymax), vy = 0:

We apply the formula (2)

vfy²= v₀y²-2gΔy

0= v₀²-2gΔy

2gΔy  = v₀²

Δy= v₀²/2g    ,Δy= ymax-y₀

ymax-y₀ = v₀²/2g

ymax=  y₀ + v₀²/2g

What do changes in the biosphere, rising sea levels, drought and desertification, regional changes in temperature, and melting g
horrorfan [7]
Alright I'm not an expert on this, so you'll probably have to verify it with someone more qualified, but here's my idea (the summary is underlined at the bottom, but I added an explanation just because):
Humans are increasing the CO2 levels in our atmosphere, trapping a lot of the sun's heat in. Increased heat increases the chance of desertification and drought, and also causes regional temperatures to go up. The sun's rays are also hitting the icecaps, but the ice itself reflects most of the sun. However, the ocean absorbs the heat, causing the water around the ice to become warmer, just enough to cause them to melt a bit. This melting makes the ocean level rise. So to wrap up, humans are changing the biosphere causing the Earth to warm up, the icecaps and glaciers to melt, regional temperatures to increase, and the chance of desertification to also increase.
It took me FOREVER to write and word this well so I hope this helps. =)
