You and your partner want to investigate how the mass of various sports balls will impact their force as they accelerate down a

ramp. You know that objects with more force will roll farther than objects with less force, so for your investigation you will roll three different types of sports balls down a ramp and measure how far they travel before stopping. You can find information about each ball in the table below.

The mass of the ball is inversely proportional to acceleration of a ball.

<h3>What is friction?</h3>

This question is incomplete but I will try to help you the much I can. Friction is the force that opposes motion. Friction depends on the nature of the surfaces in contact.

When the mass of the ball is large, the acceleration of the ball decreases since mass is inversely proportional to acceleration of a body.

How do we get this equation ??<br><br><br> H=V^2÷R
lesantik [10]

H=\frac{V^2}{R}\times t is the equation that represents the Joule's law of heating.

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

Joule's law of heating defines the heat generated by any current flowing conductor is directly proportional to

1. Square of Current (I²),

2. Resistance of the conductor (R)

3. Time for which current is passed (t)

Hence, Heat generated = H = I^2 Rt .....................(1)

By Ohm's Law, the potential difference (V) across a conductor is directly proportional to the current(I) flowing through it. The constant of proportionality is termed as resistance of the conductor (R).

V\ \alpha\ I\\V=I\times R ...............................................(2)

From (2), Current (I) can be rewritten as

I = \frac{V}{R} ........................................................(3)

Substituting (3) in (1), we get

H = I^2\times R\times t \\=(\frac{V}{R} )^2\times R\times t\\\\=\frac{V^2}{R^2}\times R\times t = \frac{V^2}{R}\times t\\\\ H =\frac{V^2}{R}\times t

A Ping-Pong ball is given an upward initial velocity. The force of air resistance causes the times of ascent and descent to be u
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

Time of ascent is greater than time of descent.

Explanation:

The gravitational force always acts in the downward direction. The air drag always opposes the motion.

During ascent, the gravitational force and air drag act in opposite direction to the motion where as during descent, only air drag acts in opposite direction to the motion of the ball while gravitational force acts in the same direction. Thus, the time of ascent and descent become unequal with time of ascent being greater than time of descent.
