4 gallons=128
times 2
8 gallons=256

300-256=44

44 miles needed more

find mpg
4gal=128
divide by 4 both sides
1gal=32 miles

44/32=1.375

he needs 1.375 more gallons

Take a factor out of the square root:
Allisa [31]

Answer:

Question A)

=\sqrt{6}x

Question B)

=3a\sqrt{a}

Question C)

=5\sqrt{2}b^2

Step-by-step explanation:

A)

We are given:

\sqrt{6x^2}\, \text{ where } x\geq 0

We can rewrite the expression:

=\sqrt{6}\cdot \sqrt{x^2}

The square root and square will cancel each other out. Thus:

=\sqrt{6}x

B)

We are given:

\sqrt{9a^3}

Rewrite:

=\sqrt{9}\cdot \sqrt{a^3}

Note that the square root of 9 is simply 3. We can also factor the second part:

=3\cdot \sqrt{a^2\cdot a}

Rewriting:

=3\cdot\sqrt{a^2}\cdot\sqrt{a}

Simplify:

=3a\sqrt{a}

C)

We are given:

\sqrt{50b^4}

Rewrite. Note that 50 = 25(2):

=\sqrt{25}\cdot \sqrt{2}\cdot \sqrt{b^4}

Simplify. We can rewrite the factor as:

=5\cdot \sqrt{2}\cdot \sqrt{(b^2)^2}

The square and square root will cancel out. Thus:

=5\sqrt{2}b^2

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What is the perimeter of the figure shown on the coordinate plane?
densk [106]
You can look at those dots, for example, you see (2,8) and (2,2) then look at y and the difference is 6. so if you see it like that, (2,8) and (5,8) is 3, (5,8) and (5,4) would be 4, (5,4) and (8,4) would be 3, (8,4) and (8,2) would be 2, and lastly (2,2) and (8,2) is 6
Now you add all of them up which will be 6+3+4+3+2+6 = 24
so the perimeter of this figure is 24<span />

Write and solve an equation to find the number n.
garik1379 [7]
The unknown number is n. So n is the unknown variable in the equation.
In order to write an equation in which n is included we must know some dependence of n with other values.
We know that <span>the difference of three times a number and 44 is −19. So, we can write:
3*n-44=-19
3*n=-19+44
3*n=25
n=25/3
