Metals include sodium, magnesium, and aluminum, to name a few. They have metallic bonding, which means that the nuclei of metal atoms are attracted to delocalised electrons, which is a form of attraction.

The transition from sodium to aluminum:

The number of electrons that are delocalized is increasing...
A greater number of electrons is available to transport and carry charge across the structure...
The electrical conductivity rises as a result of this.

I hope this helps you

What ara the differences between the homolytic and heterolytic bond dissociation ? And why homolytic dissociation energy of H-H
Elenna [48]

Answer:

Following are the difference in homolytic and hetrolytic bond dissociation.

  1. Homolytic dissociation is referred as the amount of energy released during homolytic fission. Homolytic fission is known as the dissociation of chemical bond in two equal fragmentswhereas, Hetrolytic dissociation is referred as the amount of energy released during Hetrolytic fission. Hetrolytic fission is known as the dissociation of chemical bond in two unequal fragments.
  2. Homolytic fission gives one electron each to its fragments whereas Hetrolytic fissiongives two electron to one fragment and zero electron to other fragment.

Energy released during Homolytic fission is lower than the Hetrolytic fission as the electron distribution to its fragments is uniform in homolytic whereas electron distribution to its fragments is uniform in hetrolytic fission.

Thus bonds form in hetrolytic fission is more stronger than the the bonds formed in homolytic fission.

Hence, more energy is required to break the bonds of hetrolytic fission as compared to homolytic fission

Thus, homolytic dissociation energy of H-H (104 KJ/mol) is lower than its heterolytic bond dissociation energy (401 KJ/mol)

a major textile dye manufacutrer developed a new yellow dye. the dye has a percent composition of 75.95%C, 17.72%n and 6.33%H by
Delicious77 [7]

The molecular formula of dye:

A major textile dye manufacturer developed a new yellow dye with a molecular formula C_{15}N_{3}H_{15}.

Given:

Percentage composition:

C = 75.95%

N = 17.72%

H = 6.33%

Molar mass = 240 g

To find: molecular formula of dye

Calculation:

Let's assume the mass of the compound is 100 gm.

So,  Mass of C = 75.95 gm

Mass of N = 17.72 gm

Mass of H = 6.33 gm

The number of moles = given mass/mass

Therefore, the number of moles of C = 75.95/12 = 6.33

The number of moles of N = 17.72/14 = 1.27

Number of moles of H =6.33/1 = 6.33

Simplest ratio:

C = 6.33/1.27 = 4.98 =5

N = 1.27/1.27 = 1

H = 6.33/1.27 = 4.98 =5

Therefore, the empirical formula is C_{5}NH_{5}

The mass of empirical formula = 12 x 5 + 14 + 1 x 5 = 79 gm

Number of moles= molar mass/ empirical formula

n = 240/79 = 3.04 =3

Therefore, molecular formula = empirical formula x n

Hence, molecular formula = C_{15}N_{3}H_{15}

Which two solutions, when mixed together, will undergo a double replacement reaction and form a white, solid substance?
IceJOKER [234]

AgNO_3 + KCl → AgCl + KNO_3 undergo a double replacement reaction and form a white, solid substance. Hence, option B is correct.

What is a double replacement reaction?

A double replacement reaction is a type of chemical reaction that occurs when two reactants exchange cations or anions to yield two new products.

Double-replacement reactions generally occur between substances in aqueous solution. In order for a reaction to occur, one of the products is usually a solid precipitate, a gas, or a molecular compound such as water.

AgNO_3 + KCl → AgCl + KNO_3 undergo a double replacement reaction and form a white, solid substance.

Hence, option B is correct.
