Crustal deformation builds landforms when two tectonic plates start to push into each other they can rise up and build mountains, or when they sink under, they create valleys.

<h3>How crustal deformation builds landforms?</h3>

Tectonic pressure in a crust can cause folding. Folding can end up with  the formation of valleys and mountains so we can conclude that when two tectonic plates start to push into each other they can rise up and build mountains, or when they sink under, they create deep valleys.

Initially, a particular sample has a total mass of 200 grams and contains 128 x 1010 radioactive nuclei. These radioactive nucle
lubasha [3.4K]

Explanation:

Formula to calculate how many particles are left is as follows.

              N = N_{0} (\frac{1}{2})^{l}

where,     N_{0} = number of initial particles

                              l = number of half lives

As it is given that number of initial particles is 128 \times 10^{10} and number of half-lives is 3.

Hence, putting the given values into the above equation as follows.

               N = N_{0} (\frac{1}{2})^{l}

                    = 128 \times 10^{10}(\frac{1}{2})^{3}

                    = 16 \times 10^{10}

or,                    1.6 \times 10^{11}

Thus, we can conclude that 1.6 \times 10^{11} particles of radioactive nuclei remain in the given sample.

In five hours we've gone through 5 half lives so the answer is:

particles

According to Le Châtelier's principle, how would a change in pressure affect a
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

Le Châtelier's principle states that when a chemical system at equilibrium is distributed by a change in  conditions, the equilibrium position will shift in a direction that tends to counteract  the change.

Therefore, when there is a change in pressure, the equilibrium will  counteract  the change by reducing/increasing the pressure through adjusting the no. of moles of gas.

Note: At constant temperature and volume the pressure of a gas is directly proportional to the number of moles of gas.

For example, when there's an increase in total pressure, the equilibrium position will shift to the side with a smaller no. of moles of gas so as to reduce the pressure.
