Animals with larger weights compensate for the large force they exert on the ground, by having a large footprint area in order to reduce the pressure of their feet on the ground.

Why do animals with large weight have large feet?

Large animals such as elephants, lions, hippopotamus, etc, usually have a large foot print area compared to smaller animals.

This larger footprint area helps to support their weight.

The weight of these animals exerts a force as well as pressure on the ground.

Pressure, force and area are related by the equation below:

 • Pressure = Force/Area

The larger the area, the smaller the pressure.

In order to compensate for the large force they exert on the ground, larger animals possess a large footprint area in order to reduce the pressure of their feet on the ground.

Does it have any difference between atomic mass and mass number
nevsk [136]

Answer:

Atomic mass is the weighted average mass of an atom of an element based on the relative natural abundance of that element's isotopes. The mass number is a count of the total number of protons and neutrons in an atom's nucleus.

An organic compound is composed of 38.7% C, 9.70% H, 51.6% O. The compound has a molecular formula mass of 62.0g/mol.
Tcecarenko [31]

B)C2H6O2

First, convert each percentage to grams: 38.7g, 9.70g, and 51.6g.
Next, calculate the number of moles of each element, based on the number of grams given.
C = 3.23 mol
H = 8.91 mol
O = 3.23 mol
Set up the ratio of moles of each element:
C3.34H9.70O3.23. Convert the decimals to whole numbers by dividing by the smallest subscript, 3.23.
The empirical formula is CH3O.
Now, compute the formula mass, which is 31. Finally, divide the molecular mass by the formula mass, 62/31 = 2. Multiple the subscripts by 2 to get the molecular formula.

The heat of fusion (δhfus) of benzene (c6h6) is 10. 0kjmol while its heat of vaporization (δhvap) is 34. 1kjmol. estimate the en
Delicious77 [7]

The heat of fusion (δhfus) of benzene (c6h6) is 10. 0kjmol while its heat of vaporization (δhvap) is 34. 1kjmol then enthalpy of sublimation (δhsub) of benzene is 44.1 kJ mol.

The heat of fusion is amount of heat involved during conversion of solid into liquid.

Solid → liquid

The heat of vaporization is amount of heat involved during conversion of liquid into vapor.

liquid → vapor

The enthalpy of sublimation is amount of energy involved during conversion of solid into vapor.

Solid → vapor

The enthalpy of sublimation is equal to sum of heat of fusion and heat of vaporization .

Mathematically, heat of sublimation = heat of fusion + heat of vaporization .

heat of sublimation = 10. 0 kJmol + 34. 1 kJmol. = 44.1 kJ mol
