Ionic bonding is bonding between a metal and a nonmetal, in short. For example, NaCl (table salt, Sodium Chloride) is an ionic bond. This is because Sodium is a metal while Chlorine is a nonmetal, making this an ionic bond. Hope this helps and have a great day!

The mass of an erlenmeyer flask is 85.135 g. after 10.00 ml of water is added to the flask, the mass of the flask and the water
BARSIC [14]
Subtracting the mass of (flask+water) from the empty flask gives:
95.023 g - 85.135 g = 9.888 grams of water
Dividing this by the given volume of 10.00 mL water gives:
9.888 grams of water / 10.00 mL of water = 0.9888 g/mL of water
Therefore, based on this sample, the density of water is 0.9888 g/mL, which is close to the usually accepted approximation of 1 g/mL.

At standard temperature and pressure, 1 mole of gas has what volume? A. 2.4 liters B. 22.4 liters C. 42.4 liters D. 76.6 liters
LekaFEV [45]

Answer: B.22.4 liters

Explanation:

When we attribute to a certain fixed mass of a given gas a fixed number of molecules. Avogadro considered that the mass of 36g of oxygen at any temperature and pressure would have a fixed number of molecules to which he called 1 mol of molecules. So by definition 1 mole of molecules would have a number of molecules equal to that present in 36 g of oxygen. The occupied volume by one mole of molecules at a given temperature and pressure is called molar volume and consists in 22,4 Liters. The molar volume matches the Avogadro Hypothesis (created in 1811 by Amedeo Avogadro), where equal volumes of different gases, at the same temperature and pressure, have even number of moles.

Sulfur reacts with oxygen to form sulfur dioxide (SO2(g), Hf = –296.8 kJ/mol) according to the equation below.
AnnZ [28]
We want:

S(s) + O2(g) --> SO2(g)

given

1) S(s) + 3/2O2(g) --> SO3(g) ∆H = -395.8 kJ/mole

2) 2SO2 + O2 --> 2SO3(g) ∆H = -198.2 kJ/mole

Reverse Equation 2) and divide by 2

SO3(g) --> SO2(s) + 1/2O2(g) ∆H = +99.1 kJ/mole

Add Equation 1)

S(s) + O2(g) --> SO2(g) ∆H = -296.7 kJ/mole

Brainliest to WHOEVER ANSWERs RIGHT. (if you put a random answer I will report you)
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

it gave evidence for the particle nature of light

Explanation:

As per Huygen's explanation to the theory of light we know that the light shows the phenomenon of refraction, reflection, polarization, diffraction etc

All the above said phenomenon is showing the wave nature of light.

This all phenomenon was experimentally verified and all excepts that light is of wave nature

But after Einstein shows his photoelectric effect to prove that light has particle nature

In this experiment he shows that when light of finite frequency incident upon photo sensitive metal then it ejects out the electron from it.

This is the verification of particle nature of light

so here correct answer would be

B. it gave evidence for the particle nature of light
