One of the industrial method for the production of hydrogen is the steam reforming process while oxygen is air separation.

Industrial method of hydrogen preparation

One of the industrial method for the production of hydrogen is the steam reforming process also known catalytic steam–hydrocarbon process.

In catalytic steam–hydrocarbon process, gaseous or vaporized hydrocarbons are treated with steam at high pressure over a nickel catalyst at 650°–950° C to produce carbon oxides and hydrogen.

Industrial method of oxygen preparation

One of the industrial method of oxygen production is the separation of air using either a cryogenic distillation process or a vacuum swing adsorption process.

This table has information about the heat of fusion and the heat of vaporization of different substances. A 3-column table with
blagie [28]

H₂S

Further explanation

Given

ΔH fusion and ΔH vaporization of different substances

Required

The substance absorbs 58.16 kJ of energy when 3.11 mol vaporizes

Solution

We can use the formula :

\tt \Delta H=\dfrac{Q}{n}

Q=heat/energy absorbed

n = moles

The heat absorbed : 58.16 kJ

moles = 3.11

so ΔH vaporization :

\tt \Delta H_{vap}=\dfrac{58.16~kJ}{3.11~mol}\\\\\Delta H_{vap}=18.7~kJ/mol

The correct substance which has ΔH vaporization = 18.7 kj / mol is H₂S

(H₂S from the data above has ΔH fusion = 2.37 kj / mol and ΔH vaporization = 18.7 kj / mol)

How many moles in 4.3 x 1024 atoms of sodium (Na)?
wel

Answer:How many ions are in 2 moles of NaCl?

2 mol NaCl = 2 x 6.02 x 10 23 = 1.204 x 10 24 NaCl formula units 2 mol NaCl = 2 (2 x 6.02 x 10 23 )= 2 (1.204 x 10 24) = 2.408 x 10 24 atoms *2 moles of sodium chloride contains 2.408 x 10 24 ions (combination of Na + ions & Cl – ions). H

The chemical reaction in which solid calcium oxide is treated liquid water is an example of what: A) decomposition B)combustion
laiz [17]

Answer:

The chemical reaction in which solid calcium oxide is treated liquid water is an example of Synthesis reaction. Hence, the answer is (D) Synthesis.

Explanation:

The formula of Calcium Oxide is CaO.

The formula of liquid water is H₂O.

Calcium Oxide reacts with water and forms Calcium Hydroxide. The Chemical equation is shown below.

CaO + H₂O --> Ca(OH)₂.

This is a Synthesis reaction because Ca(OH)₂ is synthesized by using Calcium Oxide and water.

The product of this reaction is calcium hydroxide, also known as slaked lime.

Thus, when calcium oxide reacts with water, slaked lime is produced.

Calcium oxide is also known as lime and is most commonly used for many purposes. It can be used for pH correction of water or for its disinfection (with excess lime).
