Organ rejection takes place when your body is subjected to a new organ which is a foreign object and attacks it.

What do you mean by Graft rejection?

Graft rejection may be defined as a process in which a transplant recipient's immune system attacks the transplanted organ or tissue.

Xenograft shows high rejection. This is because it involves the transplantation between genetically distinct members of different species.

The process of organ rejection is initiated by T cells which perform the role of the recognization of a transplanted organ.

If these T cells are activated, it may lead to organ rejection by undergoing clonal expansion, and differentiation of the effector cells, which together lead to the obliteration of the tissues.

Therefore, organ rejection takes place when your body is subjected to a new organ which is a foreign object, and attacks it.

The most important chemical regulator determining respiratory rate is _________.
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

The correct answer is carbon dioxide.

Explanation:

Respiration (physical) process involves inhalation and exhalation of oxygen and carbon dioxide respectively in between the air and into the lungs to the blood. If the brain receptors sense the excess amount of carbon dioxide in the blood, they send signals the body to promote ventilation. So, the most important chemical regulator of respiration is carbon dioxide that determines the respiratory rate.

An increase in carbon dioxide concentration in blood results in a decreasing pH level of the blood, causing the person to increase his rate of ventilation.

Thus, the correct answer is carbon dioxide.

1. The Ebola virus outbreak of 2014 severely affected the countries of Sierra Leone, Liberia,
Artemon [7]

Answer:

B. Because the 2014 outbreak has infected more people than previous outbreaks, it stands to

reason that the statistical probably of fewer people dying of Ebola, combined with the

improvements in treatment such as quarantines and anti-viral drugs, and a population that now

has greater awareness of how Ebola spreads, could contribute to the decline.
