Molarity is the ratio of the moles of a solute to the total liters of a solution. The solution includes both the solute and the solvent. Molality, on the other hand, is the ratio of the moles of a solute to the kilograms of a solvent.

1. How is the atom count for each element on the reactant side of a balanced chemical equation related to the atom count for eac
lbvjy [14]

Answer: The atom count for each element on the reactant side of a balanced chemical equation is equal to the atom count for each element on the product side of the same equation

Explanation:

According to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. Thus the mass of products formed must be equal to the mass of reactants taken.

In order to get the same mass on both sides, the atoms of each element must be balanced on both sides of the chemical equation.

2H_2+O_2\rightarrow 2H_2O

Thus there are 4 atoms of hydrogen on reactant as well as product side.

Also there are 2 atoms of oxygen on reactant as well as product side.

Select all that apply to organic compounds,
ki77a [65]

Answer:

Organic compounds can be synthesized in a laboratory setting

Organic compounds contain carbon

There are hundreds of thousands of organic compounds,

Explanation:

Organic compounds are compounds that are found in life i.e plants and animals. The bulk of compounds that makes up living organisms are called organic compounds.

The idea that organic compounds can only be found in living organisms has been proven wrong by the synthesis of urea in the laboratory.

Organic chemistry studies compounds of carbons with the exception of oxides, carbides and carbonates.

All these other compounds of carbon apart from the above listed ones are called organic compounds.

Explain the differences among nonpolar covalent bonds, polar covalent bonds, and ionic bonds.
docker41 [41]
Nonpolar covalent bonds are a type of chemical bond where 2 atoms share electrons with each other.
Polar covalent bonds are the same as nonpolar covalent bonds, but a pair of electrons are unequally shared between 2 atoms.
Ionic bonds are a type of linkage formed from the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions in a chemical compound.

Hope this helps! ^-^
