The approximate de Broglie wavelength of a tennis ball is 9.4×10^(-34) m.

What is the de Broglie wavelength:

It is the wavelength that is associated with an object in relation to its momentum and mass is known as de Broglie wavelength.

A particle's de Broglie wavelength is usually inversely proportional to its force.

The formula of de Broglie wavelength:

  • λ = h / ( m*v )

here mass of a tennis ball is given

mass, m=70 g = 0.07 kg

ball is moving with velocity

v = 10 m/s

h is Plank constant,

h=6.63×10^(-34) Js

substituting the values in formula,

λ = 6.63×10^(-34) / ( 0.070*10)

λ = 9.4 ×10^(-34) m

Hence

The approximate de Broglie wavelength of a tennis ball is 9.4×10^(-34) m

A pogo stick has a spring with a force constant of 2.50 × 104 N/m , which can be compressed 11.2 cm. what maximum height, in met
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

h = 36.4 cm

Explanation:

given,

spring constant = 2.5 x 10⁴ N/m

compressed distance = 11.2 cm = 0.112 m

mass of the child = 44 kg

maximum height = ?

by energy of conservation

K.E_i +P.E_i= K.E_f + P.E_f

\dfrac{1}{2}kx^2 = mgh

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 2.5 \times 10^4 \times 0.112^2 = 44\times 9.8 \times h

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 2.5 \times 10^4 \times 0.112^2 = 44\times 9.8 \times h

156.8 = 44 \times 9.8 \times h

h = \dfrac{156.8}{44 \times 9.8}

h = 0.364 m

h = 36.4 cm

(c) It is suggested that one side of the copper sheet cools to a lower temperature than the
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

Explanation:

The word "sheet" implies that the copper is quite thin.

Copper is also a very good conductor of heat.

Therefore, with a very short heat flow distance to cover and a high rate of heat transmission, temperature differences on either side of the sheet are almost instantaneously eliminated by heat flow.
