When u compress a gas  the density increases because when u boil water the temperature cause the water to turn into a gas which causes it to rise. So the best answer choice would be C. The density increases.

If the heat of fusion for water is 334 j/g, how many Jules are needed to melt 45.0 g of ice at 0.0°c?
finlep [7]

Given parameters:

Heat of fusion of water  = 334j/g

Mass of ice  = 45g

Temperature of ice =  0.0°c

Unknown:

Amount of heat needed to melt = ?

Solution:

This is simply a phase change and a latent heat is required in this process.

  To solve this problem; use the mathematical expression below;

             H  = mL

where m is the mass

            L is the heat of fusion of water;

              H  = 45 x 334  = 15030J

The decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2(aq)) is proposed to follow a reaction mechanism of: Step 1: H2O2(aq) + Br–(aq)→H2O(
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

Option (1) Br– is the catalyst, and the reaction follows a faster pathway with Br– than without

Explanation:

Let us consider the equation below:

Step 1:

H2O2(aq) + Br–(aq) → H2O(l) + BrO–(aq)

Step 2:

BrO–(aq) + H2O2(aq) → H2O(l) + O2(g) + Br–(aq)

From the above equation, we can see that Br– is unchanged.

This implies that Br– is the catalyst as catalyst does not take part in a chemical reaction but they create an alternate pathway to lower the activation energy in order for the reaction to proceed at a much faster rate to arrive at the products.
