Round 874.902237102 to the nearest ten-thousandth

Mathematics
1 answer:
romanna [79]2 years ago
4 0

Answer:

874.9022

Step-by-step explanation:

The order it goes in is hundreds, tens, ones, decimal, tenths, hundredths, thousandths, ten-thousandths, so 4 spaces after the decimal point is where you would need to round it off. Since the 3 next to that space is lower than 5 the 2 stays the same.

Hope this helps :)

A family is driving 600 miles. Assuming they stop to get gas 3 times and eat 2 times, how many hours will it take them to reach
Umnica [9.8K]
Lets assume that they are driving at an average of 70mph, and getting gas takes 10 minutes, and stopping to eat takes 30.

t=d/s

t=600/70
t=8.57

Stopping to eat twice is 30 x 2 = 60 (another hour)

and Gas is 10 x 3 = 30 minutes (0.5 hours)

Total time is,

8.57+1+0.5 =10.07

So the trip will take approx 10.7 hours total.

(This is using my assumptions, from my experience!)

Which of the following best describes the change in the range when 13 is
svetoff [14.1K]
The answer is D). It increases by 13.
If you put the numbers in order from least to greatest.. 26,34,38,49,65,75,81
You will see the 26 is the smallest number and 81 in the highest number. The range between the two numbers is 55. To find the range you take the smallest number and subtract it from the biggest number. But when you add the number 13 to the problem then26 is no longer the smallest Number because 13 replaced it. So then you take 81 and subtract 13 from it and get 68. And then you take 55 and subtract it from 68 and come with 13. Which makes the answer D.
